NEW YORK – Fans don’t settle comfortably into their seats waiting for Metallica to appear on the group’s current WorldWired Tour. Long before the metal icons tear up the stage with their sizzling performance, opening act Volbeat kicks off each evening with a growling aggressive show that leaves complacency crushed in its wake. Setting an appropriately edgy tone for the Danish band’s performance is a stage design built around a boxing theme. Niller Bjerregaard, who helped design the set, also puts some punchy lighting on it with a rig that he controls with a ChamSys MagicQ MQ500 Stadium console.

GLP INC. Expansion Drives Move To New Premises

SAN FERNANDO, CA– GLP’s subsidiary for The Americas, GLP Inc., has been experiencing continued growth since starting its operation eight years ago. As a result, they have recently moved to new, and larger premises in the Los Angeles district of San Fernando. With a total area of 37,000 square feet, the new building is around three times the size of the previous location, also in Los Angeles. Theatre Communications Group Receives Support from National Endowment for the Arts

NEW YORK, NY – Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, was awarded $100,000 by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of its second round of funding for FY 2017. As the only funder in the country to support arts activities in all 50 states and five U.S. jurisdictions, the NEA will award 1,195 grants totaling $84.06 million to support organizations that employ artists and cultural workers to provide programs for thousands of people from Idaho to Maine; in urban centers such as Cleveland, Ohio and Dallas, Texas; and in rural towns as different as Haines, Alaska and Whitesburg, Kentucky.
