3 Doors Down World Tour Rig Includes Martin Fixtures

LOS ANGELES —In support of their long-awaited album “Us and the Night,” multi-platinum-selling group 3 Doors Down embarked on a world tour to bring the album to life both sonically and visually. Leading audiovisual rental company LabeLive provided lighting designer and director Jay Branson of TwoPairCreative LLC with Martin by Harmn MAC Axiom Hybrid, MAC Quantum Profile and MAC Aura fixtures. Branson utilized the fixtures to define a unique stage aesthetic, deliver high-impact lighting experiences and overcome rigging challenges at theaters around the globe.

NASHVILLE — The American Cancer Society recently wrapped its second annual RelayLIVE event April 1, a music festival which advocates “fighting cancer at every stage.” Bandit Lites donated the lighting package at no cost for the outdoor fundraiser, which featured a performances by Arts Fishing Club, Mandy McMillan, Zack Dyer, Tony Winkler, Melissa Mickelson, Ali Morgan, Tyler Jordan and David Adam Byrnes.

LOS ANGELES — Country music singer/songwriter Cole Swindell is one busy guy opening for Dierks Bentley on the “What The Hell World Tour” and headlining his own dates coast to coast. Production designers Sooner Routhier and Robert Long of SRae Productions have created a system, featuring Claypaky Mythos fixtures and a grandMA2 light console, which does double duty for both of Swindell’s gigs. A.C.T Lighting, Inc. distributes Claypaky fixtures and MA Lighting gear exclusively in North America.

Parnelli Lifetime Honoree Benny Collins’ Life Celebrated

OAKLAND, CA — On April 1 in his hometown of Oakland, hundreds gathered from all over the country for the Celebration of Life event for Benny Collins, a product/tour manager live event professional who died Jan. 27. The celebration took place at the Fox Theater, courtesy of Another Planet Entertainment who generously hosted the event in the lobby of the theater they helped restore and now manage.

NASHVILLE – When American rock band Kansas originally announced plans for a 40th anniversary tour of their five times platinum album Leftoverture, the band initially thought it would be a brief ten or twelve show run. One year later, the legendary rock group has had to add another leg to the tour to meet fans’ demands, with dates now stretching into winter of 2017 and featuring a lighting package from Bandit Lites.
