LONDON, UK –Any major refurbishments on cruise liners are best done when the ship is in dry dock to minimize passenger disturbance.  However, when Fred Olsen decided to upgrade the stage lighting in the Neptune Lounge on board MS Braemar a more unconventional option was taken. Hastings UK-based EW Production Services Ltd. was able to make the upgrade during a fully booked cruise to minimize costs and expedite the process (dry dock opportunities are often 2-3 years apart).

Saks Fifth Avenue Light Show Gets Previz Support from 4Wall Los Angeles

NEW YORK — Every evening, the 10-story-high, block-long façade of Saks Fifth Avenue lit up at 10-minute intervals from 4:35 to 11:35 p.m. with a 2.5-minute holiday light show designed by Chris Werner Design (CWD). Crowd-counters estimate that more than 500,000 passersby got a chance to see the 2016 show, titled “Land of 1000 Delights,” which ran from Nov. 21, 2016 to early January, 2017.

FPA Has the 2017 Presidential Inauguration Covered With GroundShieldz

WASHINGTON, DC – FPA (Field Protection Agency recently wrapped up its biggest project to date covering the National Mall for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration using their signature product GroundShieldz. FPA headquartered in Boston, MA with a satellite office in Nashville, TN is an industry leader in turf protection. FPA deployed nearly 750,000 sq. ft. of drivable and pedestrian flooring over the course of their setup, making this one of the largest flooring projects ever in Washington, DC. Utilizing sixty-four workers FPA was able to lay GroundShieldz down at a rate of 90,000 sq. ft. every four hours.

USA – Ben Coker, lighting designer for Porter Robinson and Madeon’s co-headlining ‘Shelter’ theatre tour, has just finished an extensive 34 date run in the U.S, with Robe BMFL Spots and WashBeams and Pointes prominent on the rig. The decision to play  theatres has been hugely successful. The show took on the feel of a concert with individual songs / breaks in between, live vocals much of the time and a selection of live instruments introduced and played throughout the set … from electric pianos to percussion.
