‘Wonderama’ Returns to TV, Lit with Solaris Mozarts

LOS ANGELES – Wonderama, a revival of the popular ‘60s kids variety show, rolled out this month on Tribune Broadcasting’s cable network, with a set featuring Solaris Mozart LED fixtures.  Hosted by David Osmond (of the well-known Osmond family), 13 weekly episodes are in the can with 30 more scheduled. The show was lit by LD Herrick Goldman of HG Lighting Design Inc., New York.

International Association of Fairs and Expositions Aided by Freestyle Productions

LAS VEGAS – The International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) held its annual meeting in late November at the Paris Resort in Las Vegas. The convention theme focused on creating and moving forward with Revolution/Evolution in the fair industry.  The convention’s overall general session technology was designed by Dale Kivimaki of Freestyle Productions out of Minneapolis. Freestyle teamed up with in-House provider Encore to provide projection and LED screens along with Martin MAC 700 movers and Coemar Parlites for uplighting accents to light up the stage and the room for the attendees.

The two young friends started with just one product: a copying machine they built on a lathe Richter had received as a Christmas present from his parents.
