Chauvet Professional Helps Leper Hardcore Fest Blend Punchy Looks With Green Thinking

IEPER, BELGIUM — Hardcore metal can blend harmoniously with green thinking. A case in point is the Ieper Hardcore Fest, Europe’s largest death metal and hardcore punk festival, which attracts fans with a hard stomping lineup that includes the likes of Jello Biafra, UK Subs and Atari Teenage Riot, while at the same time leaving a gentle footprint on the environment. In recognition of its efforts, the festival has won the “Groenevent Award 2015” for greenest festival in Flanders and the “Groene Pluim” award of Ieper.

LEWISBURG, PA — For Bucknell University’s Harvey M. Powers Theatre and the Tustin Studio Theatre, lighting designer Heath Hansum worked with Starlite Productions on a lighting upgrade that included PHX LED ellipsoidals from Altman Lighting. With zoom ranges from 15-35 or 30-55 degrees, a 360-degree rotating barrel, and its die cast aluminum fabrication, the PHX LED is available in a diverse line of LED choices including RGBA, RGBW, 3000K, 5600K, and tunable white versions as well.

NEW YORK – For an October event promoting the relaunch of Reebok’s Pump shoes at an Insta Fury Pop Up Shop space in midtown Manhattan, Ben Danielowski of Boum Creative of New York used eight Rogue R2 Wash and six Rogue R1 Spot fixtures from Chauvet Professional. The event also made use of four Next NXT-1 panels and eight Nexus 4X1 linear fixtures.

Stevie Nicks’ Fall Tour Lit with Claypaky Fixtures

LOS ANGELES – Stevie Nicks has gone solo for the “24 Karat Gold Tour” playing more than two dozen arena dates in North America before the end of the year.  The tour launched in Phoenix on Oct. 25 and concludes at the Forum in Los Angeles on Dec. 18. Production designer Paul Guthrie of Toss Film & Design Inc. in Minneapolis chose 88 Claypaky Mythos fixtures for the lighting rig and a grandMA2 console for show control.
