NYC– Clay Paky Mythos and Sharpys lit up the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.  Lighting designer Bob Barnhart used a large complement of the fixtures for the live telecast, which was shown on multiple Viacom cable networks and through smart TV and mobile devices, MTV’s website and Facebook Live.  A.C.T Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Clay Paky products in North America.

NEW YORK— Lighting Designer Howell Binkley and Lighting Programmer David Arch selected Martin MAC Viper Performance fixtures for the Broadway musical, Hamilton, which garnered multiple Tony-award nominations and wins. Martin fixtures will also light the production as it heads out on tour.

LAS VEGAS – DTS will showcase the newest products in its range at LDI 2016, booth 2359. The focus of the entire show will be on three innovative fixtures: CORE, a “true hybrid” moving head; KATANA, an advanced LED bar fixture; and NRG 1401, a LED Beam / Wash projector designed for creative applications.

LAS VEGAS — It’s almost here! One week from Thursday, on Oct. 20, bright and early at 7 a.m., onsite registration for the 2016 PLSN/FOH Parnelli Classic Golf Tournament begins. Early birds can warm up on the driving range, participate in the putting contest, nosh on a continental breakfast and take in the beauty of the spectacular Siena Golf Club against the foothills of Red Rock Canyon. The tournament’s shotgun start is 8 a.m.

NASHVILLE – Reggae rock band Rebelution has been touring in support of their fifth studio album, Falling Into Place, with fixtures from Pulse Lighting and Bandit Lites. Lighting designer Kenny Gribbon outfitted truss with VL 3500 Spots and four ladders descending on to the stage with Bandit supplied Robe Pointes placed on alternating rungs. A circle truss at the center of the stage provides a focal point, while Bandit’s GRNLite LED Pars are placed upstage for floor lighting.

ST. LOUIS, MO – US presidential debates are serious business, but that doesn’t mean they can’t also be surrounded by some festive touches. Such was the case at Washington University in St. Louis, host of the second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  The school, which has hosted five debates in the past, was buzzing with excitement in the days leading up to the 2016 contest, with a parade through campus by the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, pre-debate buffets featuring the candidates’ favorite foods, and a colorful red, white and blue lighting display anchored by a collection of fixtures from Chauvet Professional.

LAS VEGAS – Elation is gearing up for LDI with new gear to be featured at the show, which runs from Oct. 20-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At the company’s Booth 2515, featured products will include the Platinum 1200 Wash and three new product series — the Fuze Series of dynamic LED wash lights (pictured here), the ZCL Series of high-output LED effects and the DTW Series of variable white LED lights.

NEW YORK – New York Fashion Week (NYFW) gives the world a sneak peek into the most incredible fashion designs that will be in stores for the upcoming season. Fashion moguls look to outshine one another not only with their new collections but with an elaborate runway show. In comes BLT Productions to make these runway shows possible using gear from 4Wall New York. BLT has been involved with NYFW since the late 1980s in some form or another. This season, BLT provided production services for Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, and Coach, among others.

OWATONNA, MN – Wenger and Secoa have entered into what they call “advanced talks” to combine the two companies, with Secoa becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Wenger.
