KNOXVILLE, TN – Bandit Lites recently added GLP X4 Atom fixtures to the company’s growing inventory. The X4 Atom features an interlocking system that lets users build the light into various configurations. This will allow it to be used for all of Bandit’s various lighting applications including corporate events, touring and special events.

IOWA CITY, IA – In 2008, when the Iowa River flooded and destroyed Hancher Auditorium and 12 other buildings at the University of Iowa, the loss to the community was far greater than the physical loss of those structures. Hancher Auditorium was one of the most popular venues for touring groups in the region, and the flood forced the student and traveling groups that normally used the venue to move into nearby facilities. But this week, with the grand opening of the new Hancher Auditorium, the University of Iowa and the people of Iowa City once again have a magnetic cultural center to call their own.

NEW YORK – Lighting designer Zach Bunner admits that some of his LD brethren might think that designing an arena tour for a two-time Grammy winner “without a rig full of beams and profile fixtures” would limit the looks of a show. However, Bunner proved otherwise by creating an intimate and immersive club-like feeling at venues from The Forum in Los Angeles to Madison Square Garden with a rig that relied heavily on the Rogue R2 Wash and STRIKE 4 multi formatted fixture from Chauvet Professional.

FONTANA, CA — Held July 30 and 31 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, the Hard Summer Music Festival attracted thousands of hip-hop and dance music fans, who this year congregated around the racetrack to experience headliners Ice Cube and Major Lazer, as well as many other EDM acts, in its new home. Production company and Elation dealer Stage-Tech delivered a large Elation lighting package for the Hard Stage (the festival’s main stage) and the Pink Stage.

NASHVILLE – Country music artist Hank Williams Jr. is wrapping up his co-headlining tour with Chris Stapleton with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites. Lighting designer Bart Burnham shared the vision for the production came from a collaboration between tour manager Charlie Sanderson, Production Manager Billy Kline and Stage Manager Jimmy Davis.

NEW YORK – Justin Preston of Three-Phase Productions included Chauvet Professional fixtures in the rig for Roland’s 909 Day Celebration. The company event featured performances by Linda Perry, Smallpools, Echosmith, Mike Garson, Saint Motel, DJ Pierre and others. Preston used Chauvet’s Rogue R1 FX-Bs, Rogue RH1 Hybrids, Rogue R2 Washes, Rogue R1 Washes and Next NXT-1 moving LED panels for the gig. Preston was part of a team that included Three-Phase Production President Darren Rezowalli, assistant lighting director Will Chandler, rigger Daniel Zawolkow, and show ME Matt Johns as well as electricians Garrett Kelly, Jack Herndon, Jensen Chambers, Alex Ashley and Juan Carlos Amaya.

HAMILTON, Ontario, Canada – Soundbox Productions has added Elation Professional ACL Series effect lights to its growing inventory of Elation products. Soundbox purchased ACL Bar LED battens in August which join ACL 360 Matrix LED moving head panels that the company acquired earlier this year.

BELLEVILLE, MI – Fantasee Lighting is spending 2016 celebrating 40 years working in the lighting industry. The firm, which was founded by Lighting Designer Stefan Graf in Ypsilanti, MI, in 1976, specializes in lighting for entertainment and corporate events and provides design and project management solutions. The firm moved to new 40,000 square foot facility in Belleville, MI, in 2000.

LAS VEGAS – ESTA has announced that Eddie Raymond will receive its highest honor, the Eva Swan Award, which recognizes exceptional long-term commitment to the association, on Thursday October 20th in Las Vegas. The award will be presented at ESTA’s Annual General Meeting which is taking place from 3:30-5:00 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 3600 Paradise Road, just south of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
