Roland’s V-1SDI Video Switcher promises to serve as an easy-to-use, compact and portable switcher that can accommodate 3G-SDI and HDMI audio/video sources with resolutions up to 1080p. The V-1SDI features a host of professional compositing effects and DSK (down-stream key) capabilities.

LAS VEGAS – ESTA’s Behind the Scenes Happy Hour returns for its 3rd year as the biggest pre-LDI party in a new location at the Embassy Suites Las Vegas (3600 Paradise Road). WOODSTOCK, GA — At Woodstock City Church, part of North Point Ministries, a network of six churches serving the metro Atlanta area, church lighting director Rob Shawver and his team can now make use of an expanding arsenal of gear that includes MAC Viper AirFX fixtures, Atomic 3000 DMX strobes, RUSH MH 3 Beams and more. There are 34 new Martin fixtures in all.

ROCKFORD, IL — Hanson headlined Brews and BBQ, a music event held at Rockford Speedway on Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 2-3). Lighting designers Jeff Hinton of 815 productions and Jared Borchardt of JBE, Inc. teamed up for this production, using 12 Intimidator Spot 255 IRC and eight Intimidator Beam LED 350 fixtures from Chauvet DJ.

NEW YORK – LD Peter Greenbaum recently added fixtures from Chauvet Professional to his rig for live performances by artists featured on The Today Show in New York’s Rockefeller Center. WorldStage provided the new fixtures, which include nine Chauvet Professional Maverick MK2 Spot moving lights.

NASHVILLE — Bandit Lites has once again increased its touring inventory, this time adding Elation’s ACL 360i fixtures. These compact fixtures combine bright LED illumination, continuous 360° pan and tilt rotation, strobe effects and selectable dimming curve effects. The fixtures were recently out with American rock band Shinedown’s “Carnival of Madness” tour, pictured here. For those shows, LD Sooner Routhier used them for accent and back lighting, placed behind Plexiglas.

MEXICO CITY – Responding to the rapidly increasing demand for its lighting and trussing products in Mexico, Chauvet has opened a new office, warehouse, service center and showroom in Lerma, just west of the nation’s capital. Located close to major highway and rail transit channels, the new facility will house an extensive inventory of CHAUVET Professional, ILUMINARC and CHAUVET DJ lighting fixtures, as well truss from the company’s TRUSST division.

ALBANY — Ferrini- Konarski Associates, a manufacturers rep firm with offices in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, NY, has been representing ETC since 1990. Today, a 12-person sales group covers 35 counties in New York State that are beyond the metro New York City area. Partners Norman Traino and Brian Horner, like ETC itself, are retooling to keep up with the shift from traditional incandescent fixtures and dimming systems to more energy-efficient lighting alternatives.

NEW YORK — For Bayside’s tour in support of the most recent album, Vacancy, LD Eric Price used a dozen moving lights from Chauvet Professional, including six Rogue RH1 Hybrids and six Rogue R2 Washes. JR Lighting Design of Orland Park, IL, near Chicago, supplied the fixtures for the New York-based rock band.
