LAS VEGAS – Pitbull performed at the Axis in Planet Hollywood on the LED-video-drenched Las Vegas Strip with a visual twist – Chauvet’s 4×4 COB LED panels instead of LED video displays. Michael Smalley and Gabe Fraboni of Twin Designs positioned 138 Nexus 4×4 panels on the fascia of tri-level band and dancer risers.

LOS ANGELES – Pearl Jam has hit the road on its 2016 North American tour with a large complement of Clay Paky Scenius moving head spotlights enhancing their sold-out shows.  Lighting designer Kille J. Knobel, who has worked with the band for 16 years, obtained 36 Scenius fixtures for the rig from Upstaging, Inc. in Sycamore, IL, near Chicago. The fixtures were sourced via A.C.T Lighting, Inc.

NASHVILLE – For the ‘Spend the Night with Alice Cooper’ Tour, lighting designer Joel Reiff built on last year’s design and layout, but replaced pars with Vipers, while adding a few Nitros for ‘bells and whistles.’ Bandit Lites is supplying the gear.

The Eve E-100Z elipsoidal fixture is the first product in Chavet DJ’s new Eve Series of fixtures. The new series is designed to provide an affordable event lighting option to rental houses, DJs, dealers and others. The Eve E-100Z is designed to product a crisp hard edge spot using a a 100W warm white LED light source.

NASHVILLE – For Alan Jackson’s  2016 ‘Still Keepin’ It Country’ Tour, freelance lighting designer Craig Rutherford from Blueshift Design turned to Nashville-based Elite Multimedia to provide the touring support that could help him highlight one of country music’s most decorated artists. This is Rutherford’s second tour with Jackson. His rig includes Elation Platinum FLX, Chauvet COLORdash Par-Hex 7s, Martin MAC 700 and 301 Washes, Vari-Lite VL3000 Spots, Procan 4 Lite Blinders, and Chauvet Ovation E-190WW LED ellipsoidals; along with an ETC 24-Channel Sensor Rack and a grandMA Lighting Console for control.

DALLAS, TX – When Texas Music Series came to the airport known as Dallas Love Field, Michael Clay Productions turned to Clair Solutions Dallas for an audio and visual assist. Clair relied on 13 of elektraLite’s eyeBall Quad LED fixtures to make the stage look ready for showtime, even in the high ambient light environment of an airport concourse.

LAS VEGAS – Morpheus Lights, U.S. distributor of Ayrton LED products, will exhibit at the 4Wall New York Vendor Showcase on Thursday May 19 starting at 3 p.m.. BERLIN, Germany – The organizers of STAGE | SET | SCENERY, an international trade fair and conference for theatre, film and entertainment technology, announced that their next event is set for June 20-22, 2017. The event focuses on stage machinery, drive and control systems, architecture and planning, lighting, acoustics, audio, video and media engineering, studio technology, events, museum technology, decoration and furnishings, make-up and costume design and safety engineering. The event takes place every other year.

NASHVILLE — Jason Aldean, who recently completed the Australian leg with his “We Were Here” tour, is currently on tour across America. Aldean’s tour picks up on the country artist’s hit single, “Gonna Know We Were Here.” LD Mike Swinford included Ayrton MagicDot-R, MagicRing-R9, IntelliPix-R and MagicBlade-R fixtures in the rig. The setup includes five overhead lighting pods Each is equipped with 36 MagicDot-R fixtures and rigged on Show Rig Whirligigs.
