NASHVILLE — Jason Aldean, who recently completed the Australian leg with his “We Were Here” tour, is currently on tour across America. Aldean’s tour picks up on the country artist’s hit single, “Gonna Know We Were Here.” LD Mike Swinford included Ayrton MagicDot-R, MagicRing-R9, IntelliPix-R and MagicBlade-R fixtures in the rig. The setup includes five overhead lighting pods Each is equipped with 36 MagicDot-R fixtures and rigged on Show Rig Whirligigs.

NASHVILLE – While it had originally appeared storms would dampen the outdoor festivities in Cumberland Park for members of The Recording Academy, the fickle Tennessee weather ultimately cooperated for Nashville’s 18th Annual Grammy Block Party, where Chris Lisle Lighting Design utilized a lighting package from Bandit Lites.

ATLANTA – First Redeemer Baptist Church, based in Cumming, GA, northeast of Atlanta, turned to Springfield, MO-based Paragon 360 for a lighting assist as it remodeled its sanctuary. Along iwth a modular riser for the church’s 125-member choir, Paragon 360 provided a lighting rig that included LED washes and uplighting fixtures from Chauvet Professional.

LOS ANGELES – At 82 years young, legendary singer, recording artist and front man of The Four Seasons Frankie Valli is still playing live and touring two weekends a month for most of the year … with Robe as the first choice of moving light on the rider.  Valli has had multiple chart-topping singles and albums throughout an incredible six decade career and has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

SAN JUAN, PR – Musique Xpress provided a collection of high-output fixtures from Chauvet Professional for David Ayala’s light show accompanying Reggaeton artist Arcangel’s recent ‘Los Favoritos’ concert in Puerto Rico. The rig included 24 Rogue RH1 Hybrid moving beam/spots, 20 COLORado 4 IP RGBW linear washes and 18 Next NXT-1 moving RGBW panels.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Cowboys Dancehall is a leading venue in the Alamo city, running live music four nights a week along with a host of other country themed events. SASKATOON, Saskatchewan —Telemiracle, the annual telethon in Saskatchewan, Canada that benefits the Kinsmen Foundation, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a 21-hour, commercial-free live broadcast on the province’s CTV affiliates.  This year lighting designer Linus MacDonald stepped up the show’s look with six Clay Paky Scenius moving head spotlights. 

MIAMI— Grammy Award-winning recording artist Phil Collins hosted the second annual Little Dreams Foundation Benefit Gala in South Florida and performed at the charity event backed by a line of Elation ACL 360 Bar color-changing battens with 360-degree rotation.
