“Cyber Tubing” in Wisconsin Lit the Blizzard Lighting Fixtures

USITT To Honor 10 Rising Theatre Artists with 2016 YD&T Awards on March 17

SALT LAKE CITY – USITT noted that 10 up-and-coming theatre artists will get special recognition through its Young Designers & Technicians Awards program with a ceremony set for March 17, during the association’s annual convention. The YD&T Awards honor designers and technicians early in their careers. It is supported with funding from industry sponsors. This year’s awards ceremony will also feature remarks by Steve Younkins, creator of Q2Q Comics, a web comic devoted to theatre tech. Zhao is due to receive an MFA degree from the University of California-San Diego the same month as the USITT event.

MIAMI — The sold-out Madness Fall Tour by Canadian singer, songwriter and record producer, The Weeknd, in support of his third studio album, Beauty Behind the Madness, featured a set and lighting design by LeRoy Bennett of Seven Design Works. It incorporated more than 650 lighting fixtures from Ayrton — including ‘every available IntelliPix-R fixture on the planet’ – for Bennett’s multi-faceted looks.
