NEW YORK – Now sponsored by banking giant Citi, the Today Show’s concert series at Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center recently featured a performance by Selena Gomez. Eli Young Band Performs at Nutty’s in Texas with Chauvet Next NXT LEDs
AUSTIN, TX – For the Eli Young Band’s recent show at the 4,000-capacity Nutty Brown Café & Amphitheatre, Dave Carr added 24 Next NXT-1 moving LED panels from Chauvet Professional to his rig, which had already included Chauvet Nexus 4x4s. Carr says the fixtures came recommended by Josh Peikert and Erich Meitzner of Hoopty Lights, the band’s preferred Midwest-based lighting vendor.

ORLANDO, FL – For his True Colors world tour, an Aug. 6-Nov. 28 trek in support of his second studio album that goes by the same name, Russian-German musician Zedd turned to Pyrotecnico for a special effects assist. Along with custom pyrotechnic spinners, close proximity pyrotechnics, flames, cryogenics, confetti and streamers, Pyrotecnico used a total of 9 high power KVANT laser systems for the tour. They also utilized Pangolin’s Beyond software and FB3QS hardware to design and control the RGB Spectrum series lasers.

LOS ANGELES – Miranda Lambert’s most recent tour, which brings back the name of her first headlining tour in 2010, “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars,” made use of a lighting rig supplied by Bandit Lites that included Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20s driven by grandMA2 light and ultra light consoles. Both the lights and the consoles were sourced via exclusive North American distributor A.C.T Lighting for the 13-city trek. Production designer Chris Lisle designed the looks.
