ATLANTA – Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre recently revealed the final renderings for a renovation that will completely transform its facilities. The project, which will begin in the summer of 2017, will help the Tony Award-winning theatre company produce ambitious works, better engage with the surrounding community, and provide audiences with more dynamic and comfortable theatre-going experiences.

LAS VEGAS – Chauvet Professional lauded LD Rachel Miller for creating a booth lighting design that helped draw visitors at the recent LDI show in Las Vegas. The booth was lit with products drawn from the company’s Nexus, Rogue and ÉPIX catalog of fixtures.
LAS VEGAS – Ayrton and U.S. distributor Morpheus Lights called the 2015 LDI show “the best ever” for Ayrton products, with six new product releases that were “extremely well-received.”

LAS VEGAS – The entrance to Drai’s Beachclub/Nightclub atop the Cromwell hotel on the Las Vegas Strip features a distinctive lighting design by Steve Lieberman of SJ Lighting that includes the use of Colorist Pod 18QA fixtures from Iluminarc, the company devoted to architectural fixtures that is an affiliate to Chauvet Professional.
LEXINGTON, KY – It was a capacity crowd at Rupp Arena Oct. 16 as the University of Kentucky’s Wildcats took the court for their annual Big Blue Madness. The exhibition basketball game marks the first ‘official’ practice, and consists of grand spectacles, lasers, fireworks and stunning lighting provided by Bandit Lites.

BUCHAREST, Romania and NANNING, China — A pyro-sparked fire and limited egress turned a 400-capacity nightclub into a deathtrap in Bucharest, Romania. Goodbye to Gravity band members were among the 60 killed and 154 injured. Separately, a structural collapse killed a crew member and injured 13 others during setup for a show at the Guangxi Sports Center in Nanning, China that was to feature pop vocalist Jolin Tsai.
