As evidenced by the crowds occupying the Elation booth, many of their new products were a hit with the attendees. Previously shown fixtures such as the Emotion and the Platinum FLX were seen by many for the first time. But garnishing some major attention were the ACL series of fixtures.

LAS VEGAS – PRG’s GroundControl Followspot System was recognized with the LDI Best Debuting Product – Staging and Rigging award at this year’s LDI show. PRG Product Manager for Luminaires Chris Conti, who thanked PRG’s Technology Development team, based in Dallas, accepted the award and also credited LD Bob Barnhart and Full Flood for their design inspiration in the development of the product.
LAS VEGAS – Following a wildly successful year including a packed festival season, massive world tours and premier installations, Bandit Lites once again took home Lighting Company of the Year at the 15th Annual Parnelli Awards. Dizzy Gosnell accepted the award, which was held at the Rio Resort and Casino October 24 during LDI, and was hosted by Kevin Lyman, Founder of the Vans Warped Tour.

LAS VEGAS – Chauvet Professional reported significant interest in products featured at the recent LDI show, with new product offerings including their 5-color LED ellipsoidal, as well as a single source RGBW IP65-rated wash and a new touring version of their ÉPIX Series.
LAS VEGAS – Robe Lighting credited its BMFL Wash and BMFL Wash XF luminaires for drawing crowds to its booth at LDI this year, the company’s biggest booth at that show to date. Industry bands The Brobes and Swingin Johnsons (pictured here) drew crowds to the booth as well.
LOS ANGELES – Lighting designer Benoit Richard, of Millennium Lighting Design, Inc, chose his first use of Ayrton MagicDot-R fixtures for the video shoot used for NBC’s NFL Sunday Night Football, employing 60 units in his design.
