LOS ANGELES – The Glitch Mob’s latest tour design includes a customized, painted set piece dubbed “the blade.” It houses both lighting and musical instruments. At the launch of the tour, LD Martin Phillips added four High End Systems Shapeshifter C1 fixtures.

WASHINGTON DC – Showcall, Inc., an event production company based in Maryland, was selected to produce the first Mass that Pope Francis celebrated in the U.S. when he visited Washington DC Sept. 23. The planning committee that selected Showcall included the Archdiocese of Washington, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and The Catholic University of America.

NASHVILLE – Country music super group Little Big Town’s Pain Killer Tour, which launched in Aug. 2014, continues this year. LD Chris Shrom is using Bandit Lites-supplied gear for the looks that have evolved as the band’s shows have progressed from smaller festivals to arenas.

LOS ANGELES – EDM artists Cash Cash + Tritonal are currently out on their Untouchable Tour, with a high-energy visual design from Aaron Kovelman (aka Ronny Redrocks) that makes use of two video walls and eight Rogue RH1 Hybrids from Chauvet Professional.

ANAHEIM, CA – Saddleback Church opened a 40,000-square-foot facility with 10 classrooms and a 1,000-person worship area across from Angels Stadium in June. Technical director Greg Baker worked with CCI Solutions on the lighting system, which includes energy-efficient LED fixtures from Chauvet Professional.
