LAS VEGAS – Omnia, in Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip, is the latest superclub launched by Hakkasan Worldwide. LD Willie Williams collaborated with Audiotek’s head of lighting Andy Taylor on the lighting design, which includes 100 moving lights from Robe. David Chesal from Robe Lighting Inc. was also an integral part of the team.

LOS ANGELES — Dennis Sheehan, longtime tour manager for U2 and 2008 Parnelli Lifetime Achievement award winner, died May 27, reportedly of cardiac arrest. He was 68. Sheehan had been in Los Angeles with U2 for a series of shows kicking off their 2015 “Innocence + Experience” Tour. U2 had opened the first of five shows at the Forum the night before.

ANCHORAGE, AK – Stark Raving Solutions, a Kansas City-based AV firm, installed four Ovation E-190WW ellipsoidal fixtures from Chauvet Professional to Rabbit Creek Community Church in Anchorage, Alaska.

CARSON, CA – Visions Lighting’s Todd Roberts and Brandon Dunning included Elation lighting fixtures in the rig for KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert at the StubHub Center here May 9. The rig included Platinum BX beam moving heads, hybrid Platinum SBX moving heads and Protron 3K LED strobes. Also in the rig was some of their workhorse Platinum Beam 5R Extremes.

ARVADA, CO — Centerpoint Community Church turned to Roland Dutzmann of AcousTech (Franktown, CO) to give their 500-seat house of worship a new look. The upgrade included new backdrops and scenic elements, an updated audio and video system, HD cameras and a largely LED lighting rig. The installed gear includes nine COLORado 2-Quad Zoom Tour par-style fixtures from Chauvet Professional.
