Ariana Grande Tours with Robe Lighting Gear

LOS ANGELES – LD Chris Kuroda’s rig for Ariana Grande’s U.S. tour in support of her second studio album, My Everything, is relying heavily upon Robe fixtures. The rig includes 76 Robe BMFL Spots and 78 Pointe fixtures. Kuroda collaborated with production manager Chris Gratton, stage designer Nick DeMoura, programmer Andrew Giffin and the artist herself on the looks for the shows.

Auerbach Glasow French Honored with IALD Award of Merit

SAN FRANCISCO — Auerbach Glasow French has been acknowledged by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) with an Award of Merit in the Monumental Structures/Public Spaces category for their work on the renovation of the Salon Doré from the Hôtel de La Trémoille at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor.  The IALD awards program recognizes excellence in lighting design; this project was selected from among 206 entries.

Vince Gill Tours the U.S. with Bandit Lites

NASHVILLE, TN – Country artist Vince Gill is touring the U.S. with lighting provided by Bandit Lites. Gill’s lighting designer, Dylan Mire, sought a design that would complement the show with updated looks but not distract from the artist or the bluegrass band. The rig includes Vari*Lite VL2500 Spots, Robe CycFX8 fixtures and Martin MAC Auras, with GRN Par 64 fixtures used for light columns on the backdrop and Chauvet Color Dashes as truss toners, all controlled via a grandMA1 full console.
