Scott Barnes Uses Hog 4 On Major Film Releases

LOS ANGELES – Following the close of production of blockbuster-to-be Fantastic Four, Ant-Man wrapped shooting in December. Both movies featured the talents of moving light programmer Scott Barnes and his Hog 4 lighting control system. Fantastic Four is slated for release on August 7th, while Ant-Man will hit theaters on July 17th.

In Memoriam: Lyle Centola, 59

MONROE, LA — Lyle Centola, 59, longtime production manager, site coordinator and rigger, died April 29. A key member of the Event Safety Alliance, Centola helped organize and stage major events ranging from Super Bowl halftime shows to a Veterans Day college basketball game held on the deck of an aircraft carrier. His career in live entertainment rigging and management began in the 1970s.

In Memoriam: Lenore Travis, 67

LINCOLN, MA – Lenore Travis, who in the 1970s worked for Tom Field and Associates (TFA) and also Mike Brown Grandstands (today Brown United), died April 26 in a tractor accident on her farm in Lincoln, Mass. She was 67. She shared that farm with her husband George Travis, 2013 Parnelli Lifetime Achievement Honoree and Bruce Springsteen’s longtime production manager.

SAN DIEGO, CA – For the 42,823 fans attending the season-opening home game for the San Diego Padres at Petco Park on April 11, Pro Systems designed a  post-game laser lightshow with some punchy effects provided by 12 Rogue RH1 Hybrid fixtures from Chauvet Professional. The visual celebration followed the Padres’ 10-2 victory over the World Series-champion San Francisco Giants.
