LightConverse/HES Lighting Challenge Contest Deadline is March 31, 2015

KIEV, Ukraine and AUSTIN, TX – The deadline for the LightConverse/High End Systems Lighting Challenge, which has been underway since late 2014, is March 31, 2015. Registered LightConverse users can come up with whatever design they choose, but shows must be programmed on a HOG console or using Hog PC software (which is available free of charge). The contest winners will be announced at Prolight + Sound, held from April 15-18, 2015 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Rig for “Spamalot” Includes Vari-Lite VL440 Spots

ST. JOSEPH, MO – For the Robidoux Resident Theatre’s production of the musical comedy Spamalot, last fall at the Missouri Theater in St. Joseph, MO, which dates from the 1920s, the director of the show, Jeff Stover, Assistant Professor/Technical Director at Missouri Western State University, provided a lighting design where VL440 Spot luminaires from Philips Vari-Lite supplemented the house rig.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Event Lit with Bandit Gear

NASHVILLE – While there were talks of a winter storm brewing for Nashville, the city was all about bikinis and beach music as Sports Illustrated chose Music City to launch the 2015 Swimsuit Edition. The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the event, and LD John Lucksinger teamed up with production manager Chris Lisle on the visual design. Bandit Lites provided the gear for the event dubbed “Swimville.”

Creative Stage Lighting Announces Hog 4 Training Classes

NORTH CREEK, NY — High End Systems distributor Creative Stage Lighting has been conducting an ongoing series of two day hands-on training events for High End Systems’ Hog 4 consoles. Sales engineer Phil Heid is leading the classes. Students taking the course will learn basic and intermediate HOG 4 programming techniques, including console layout, launching and managing shows, patching and editing fixtures, groups, palettes, directories and more.
