ALBANY, NY — Heavy metal band Killswitch Engage joined All That Remains, Death Ray Vision and City of Homes for a three-date mini tour on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1 in Sayreville, NJ, Worcester, MA and Albany NY. Dubbed Monster’s Mosh, the shows featured a design from LD Darragh Guiney that included Chauvet Professional LED video panels, moving lights and Vesuvio RGBA foggers supplied by JDI Productions.

Fleetwood Mac Tours with Clay Paky, grandMA2 Gear

NEW YORK — Paul “Arlo” Guthrie, LD and production designer for Fleetwood Mac’s latest “On With the Show” tour, arranged for looks dominated a big upstage video wall, three above-the-head ribbon video walls and 12 lighting pods. The design also includes Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20 LED-based moving lights and Sharpy Wash lights, with a grandMA2 console for control. PRG supplied the gear for the tour, which goes out for another leg in Jan. 2015.

Orlando-Based PAC Opens with Design Assist from Theatre Projects

ORLANDO, FL – Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was Orlando’s $386 million Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts – a  project nearly three decades in the making, according to key design collaborator Theatre Projects. The theatrical design firm worked with Barton Myers (design architect), HKS Architects (executive architect) and Baker Barrios (associate architect) on the venue, which features the 2,700-seat Walt Disney Theater and 299-seat Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater housed within a 330,000 square foot building.

Clay Paky Fixtures Help Launch Series of Absolut Sponsored EDM Events

BROOKLYN, NY – Absolut launched a new series of EDM events on the Brooklyn waterfront Sept. 12 – not by smashing a bottle on the prow of a ship, but by lighting up the sky with an 85-foot-high Absolut bottle-shaped silhouette. Fixtures from Clay Paky played a key role at the event, staged at the Pier 9 Container Terminal in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood. It was the first of a series of Absolut-sponsored EDM events, which moved on to cities around the world, including Johannesburg, Berlin and Sao Paulo.
