ALBANY, NY — Heavy metal band Killswitch Engage joined All That Remains, Death Ray Vision and City of Homes for a three-date mini tour on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1 in Sayreville, NJ, Worcester, MA and Albany NY. Dubbed Monster’s Mosh, the shows featured a design from LD Darragh Guiney that included Chauvet Professional LED video panels, moving lights and Vesuvio RGBA foggers supplied by JDI Productions.

NEW YORK — Paul “Arlo” Guthrie, LD and production designer for Fleetwood Mac’s latest “On With the Show” tour, arranged for looks dominated a big upstage video wall, three above-the-head ribbon video walls and 12 lighting pods. The design also includes Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20 LED-based moving lights and Sharpy Wash lights, with a grandMA2 console for control. PRG supplied the gear for the tour, which goes out for another leg in Jan. 2015.

LOS ANGELES — When the fourth biennial “Stand Up to Cancer” special aired in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 5 it raised more than $109 million for its groundbreaking collaborative research efforts.  Some 60 Clay Paky Sharpy fixtures, provided by Atomic Lighting of Lititz, PA, were deployed for the event to meet the specifications of LD Allen Branton.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — For Hunter’s nightclub, Jay Krause of Sound and Lighting Solutions provided the owners with a demo of Rogue R1 Spot and R1 Beam fixtures from Chauvet Professional. The club has since installed six Rogue R1 Spots and four Rogue R1 Beams.

LAS VEGAS – Marquee Nightclub is consistently one of the highest grossing nightclubs in Las Vegas and one of the hottest and most luxurious nightclubs around. Located in the heart of the Strip, Marquee underwent a major LED lighting system upgrade recently with LD Steve Lieberman, owner of SJ Lighting, using over 1,100 new Elation Pixel Bar 40 LED strip lights to create a memorable 360-degree immersive experience.

ORMOND BEACH, FL – Tomoka Christian Church upgraded to a Jands Vista I3 console to support the lighting rig at a new worship venue. The non-denominational, missions-oriented church offers contemporary praise and worship featuring live music, dance, and drama in a multimedia service. The church’s new venue is using the Jands Vista I3 console alongside its existing Vista M1 control surface, which had been in use for several years.

ATLANTA – North Point Ministries, Inc, Buckhead Church here is a 15-year-old establishment with a 3,000-seat auditorium that hosts four services every Sunday. The church is in the process of expanding its technical equipment to enrich the quality of its in-services. Part of this expansion involves the increased use of media and lighting to add to the dynamic format of the services.

MOORPARK, CA – For an adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula staged at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center here recently, MDG’s Ice Fog Q fog generator added to the spooky atmosphere created for the show, which was presented in a series of evening and afternoon performances staged in mid- to late-October as Halloween drew near. BROOKLYN, NY – Absolut launched a new series of EDM events on the Brooklyn waterfront Sept. 12 – not by smashing a bottle on the prow of a ship, but by lighting up the sky with an 85-foot-high Absolut bottle-shaped silhouette. Fixtures from Clay Paky played a key role at the event, staged at the Pier 9 Container Terminal in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood. It was the first of a series of Absolut-sponsored EDM events, which moved on to cities around the world, including Johannesburg, Berlin and Sao Paulo.
