LAS VEGAS — The Cyndi Lauper/Harvey Fierstein staged musical collaboration, Kinky Boots, a hit in Chicago in 2012 before its successful 2013 Broadway debut, kicked off its first national tour at the Smith Center here on Sept. 4, 2014 with a PRG-supplied lighting rig specified by LD Kenneth Posner. The tour rig includes 18 COLORado 2-Quad Zoom Tour fixtures from Chauvet Professional. PRG also provided gear for Kinky Boots’ pre-Broadway and Broadway engagements.

Primeview USA has teamed with Lightware USA and High Resolution Systems to feature the manufacturers’ equipment in their Partnership Showroom. The models shown include the MX-FR17 17×17 Digital Matrix Router populated with HDMI 1.4 inputs and outputs that handle up to 4K resolutions and HDBaseT outputs. For pop band St. Lucia’s fall tour, Production Manager Gordon Droitcour designed a self-contained, auto-triggering, midi-controlled system for both lights and video. The show is based from the band’s existing backing tracks which triggers lighting cues via software lighting consoles and video files via an ArKaos Media Master.
