Claypaky Provides Atmospheric Lighting Effects for Nothing But Thieves

LONDON – In demand lighting and production designer Steven Bewley selected the Claypaky Mythos and Sharpy fixtures to create signature lighting looks for alternative rock band ‘Nothing But Thieves’ on their debut album tour, which ended with a sensational show at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton. For the tour’s UK leg Bewley, whose recent production design for rapper Wretch 32 received significant recognition across social media, enlisted 32 x Mythos and 10 x Sharpys from audio and lighting production specialist Nitelites.

ANTWERP, BE. – Entertainment engineering specialists WIcreations supplied automation elements to help Belgian superstar rockers Clouseau ramp-up the drama and fun for their biennial end-of-year spectacular shows at the 20,000 capacity Antwerp Sportpaleis venue. The band is in the middle of playing four sold-out shows that started in December and conclude in January – following an extensive theatre tour ongoing through most of the year to support their innovative and popular “Clouseau Danst” album.

Jan. 1 Nightclub Shooting in Turkey: 39 Killed, 65 Injured

ISTANBUL — Authorities in Turkey are still searching for a gunman who fired 180 bullets from an AK 47, killing 39 and wounding 65 people celebrating New Year’s Eve at the Reina nightclub in Istanbul, Turkey. The Islamic State later claimed responsibility for the attack. About 600 people were in the club at the time of the seven-minute attack, according to reports. Witnesses reported that the gunman shouted “Allahu akbar” while firing his weapon inside the venue after killing a police officer and bystander outside. He then left his weapon, changed clothes and exited the back door, blending into the crowd.

The Welsh rockers returned with a show-stopper of a tour, studiously lit, designed and controlled by Campbell who counts Anna Calvi for which he won a Knight Of Illumination Award in 2015, Katy B, Leon Bridges and John Grant in his resume.
