STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Robe moving lights continue their run on high profile theatre shows worldwide, with the new ‘Phantom of the Opera’ production in Stockholm utilizing over 50 fixtures in total. The Really Useful Group (RUG) licensed production of the legendary Andrew Lloyd-Webber blockbusting musical has just opened and is scheduled to play the 1,650-capacity Cirkusteatern arena for a year, for which the Robe lights were specified by associate lighting designer, Mike Odam.

PARIS – Airstar’s inflatable lighting technologies for the event and architecture industries, recently joined forces with the Val d’Isère mountain resort to inaugurate the “Christmas in the mountains” promotion featured by the BVH Marais departmetn store in the heart of Paris. Airstar Europe deployed lighting balloons inside and out of the iconic Parisian department store to celebrate the launch of the Christmas season.

LINZ, Austria – Lighting designer Björn Hermann lit up the Austrian sky with more than 100 Claypaky luminaires for the recent Linz Klangwolke, or ‘Cloud of Sound’, held along the Danube. The open-air multimedia event, a mix of music, performance and visual art, has been a highlight of the city’s annual calendar since 1979. The Klangwolke presents a different theme each year, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the 2016 edition was presented under the ‘River of Knowledge’ banner.

EUROPE – Adlib renewed its excellent and long term working relationship with Grammy nominated US rock band Panic! at The Disco, providing sound, video and lighting production, plus crew for their recent UK and European tours. Once again Tony Marino was at the helm as the highly-respected tour manager. The band released their fifth studio album, ‘Death of a Bachelor’ in January 2016 and have had a mega busy year.

Sven’s design is adaptable to be able to fit into the wide variety of different venue sizes on the itinerary.

Sean McGlone and John Slevin project managed for the Blackburn UK based company, with technicals on the road coordinated by production manager, Jason Culverwell. DanTDM is a professional gamer and You Tube star with around 13 million subscribers enjoying his work.

ITALY – Following the extraordinary success of their summer tour, and after winning the 65th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival and representing Italy in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Il Volo have given a long series of performances in Italy and abroad this year. Show designer Francesco De Cave, who was called upon by the production team to create a new show image, used Claypaky lights to illuminate the young tenors’ world tour dates.

Ten Kinesys Elevation 1+ vari-speed drive units, used with 10 x half ton Liftket motors and Kinesys Vector control are being used to move five I-shaped trussing pods rigged in the roof above the stage.
