LONDON – Clay Paky is thrilled to be celebrating its 40-year milestone at Plasa 2016 and welcomes visitors to the Clay Paky Universe, inside the Ambersphere Solutions area, inviting you to get up close and personal with its broad portfolio of trailblazing creative tools.

LONDON – It’s mid-afternoon on Saturday, Sept. 10, and Stageco’s crew are present in a damp and virtually empty Wembley Stadium as Billy Joel sound checks with his band. A living jukebox, Joel plods through classic after classic, none of which are his own. “Ground control to Major Tom,” announces the singer with a Bowie impression so on the money that even the most cynical head is turned.

LONDON – With four sell-out shows, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe treated fans with a number of well-known hits and newer releases at London’s Royal Opera House. As one would expect from the Pet Shop Boys, the first-class set and spectacular production design by Es Devlin didn’t disappoint, providing the audience with a visual feast worthy of the highbrow location.

UK – The Sherlocks are an Indie band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Consisting of two sets of brothers, they have already made significant waves in the music industry, having performed at both the Leeds and Reading Festivals along with playing the world’s largest music festival, SXSW, in Texas. The band is currently embarking on a UK tour, visiting venues up and down the country. 

PERTHSHIRE, Scotland – Colour Sound Experiment provided lighting and LED screens to the dance tents at two major UK festivals for the first time this summer – T in the Park at Strathallan Castle in Perthshire, Scotland and the double sited V Festival, for which they serviced both Weston Park in Staffordshire and the Hylands Park site in Chelmsford, Essex in southeast England. Says Haydn Cruickshank, “We were very excited to be offered the chance to contribute to both of these amazing and popular events that are mainstays on the festival calendar.”

LONDON – Load monitoring company Eilon Engineering has been in the business of keeping people safe for 40 years and is celebrating the anniversary with new incentives for its customers and distributors. These will initially be offered at upcoming trade shows, including PLASA 2016 in London (Sept. 18-20, Stand E12), and LDI in Las Vegas (Oct. 21-23, booth 714), and will continue throughout the anniversary year.

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. – Production company DMX Productions is increasingly turning to Elation Professional products to add a dynamic flare to a variety of shows and events. One example is an early summer U.K. tour by Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. The India-based artist played a handful of dates in England including a show at London’s Wembley Arena.

Featured products include the AlienPix-RS, pictured here. This fixture is a unique, multi-rotational unit with eight axes of continuous rotation and six individually controllable beams.

LONDON – Philips Lighting Entertainment will preview a new Philips Showline product and also showcase offerings from the Philips Vari-Lite, Philips Selecon and Philips Strand Lighting brands at the PLASA 2016. The event takes place at Olympia London from Sunday through Tuesday, Sept. 18-20. Philips Lighting will be on stand G60.

LONDON – Robert Juliat will be sharing stand space with its exclusive UK distributor, Ambersphere Solutions, as PLASA 2016 relocates to London’s Olympia (Stand K32). Receiving its official launch at the show is Dalis 862 LED Footlight, the next exciting new evolution in the Dalis family.

LONDON – GoboPlus.com, the one-stop online shop dedicated to the supply of custom and standard metal gobos, glass gobos and all projection images, will exhibit at PLASA 2016 alongside its sister company, the specialist filter company, CutColourPlus. GoboPlus.com has added more new designs to its gobo range. These will expand GoboPlus.com’s existing collection, which includes Rosco, DHA and GAM gobos along with it’s own ‘Plus’ designs, to over 3000 standard gobo patterns.
