LONDON – Triple E’s ModTruss is being used to construct a stage and an exhibition stand at this year’s PLASA London. ModTruss, which won ‘Engineering Product of the Year’ at the 2015 ABTT Awards, will form the structures for both the main Exhibition Stand and the Awards Stage for the Technical Theatre Awards (TTAs).

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – The Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica’s technical director Claudio Schifanni steered the venue toward its first purchase of Robe moving lights recently. The venue added eight Robe LED DLS Profile fixtures. Robe’s distributor, Mas Musica, also based in San Jose, supplied the fixtures.

MUMBAI, India – The Christie Experience Center at InfoComm India is a multi-zone display at Booth B1 within the Bombay Exhibition Center from Sept. 12-14, 2016. Christie is featuring its latest 1DLP, 3DLP, LED, camera capture and show control technologies.

MADRID, Spain – For the inaugural Mad Cool Festival, which features headliners including Neil Young, The Who and The Prodigy at the Caja Magica tennis grounds in Madrid on June 16-18, PRG Spain supplied lighting for three main stages. At Stage Three, a 10,000-capacity performance space located inside the main tennis court arena, the setup included Elation Professional’s  Cuepix Panel LED matrix fixtures.

FRANCE – Award winning French theme park Puy du Fou located in the Vendée region of western France has invested in Robe’s DL series LED moving lights, with 8 x DL7Ss and 18 x DL4Ss, which are being utilized to light their innovative new show “Le Dernier Panache” an immersive fusion of theatre and cinema being staged in their new 19-million Euro Le Théâtre des Géants (Giants Theatre).

AUCKLAND – August 30th 2016 was a significant date in the twenty-six year history of Show Technology, Australia’s leading solution provider for entertainment and architectural lighting applications. The date was the official opening of the Show Technology New Zealand office in Auckland with managing director Emmanuel Ziino welcomed officially onto the land in a Pōwhiri – a Māori welcoming ceremony involving speeches, dancing, and singing performed by a local school ‘Kapa Haka’ group.

HALLE, Germany — German rock band, Silbermond, has embarked on a live tour in support of its fifth studio album, Leichtes Gepäck (Light Luggage). LD Stephan Aue’s design makes use of Ayrton IntelliPix-R and MagicRing-R9 fixtures supplied by VisionStage of Germany. These fixtures have been playing a central role Aue’s lighting looks as the band travels to major arenas across Germany, Switzerland and Austria, with technical provision from Bottrop, Germany-based TDA Rental.

SKARA, Sweden – All Musik is the first rental company in Sweden to take delivery of Robe’s Viva LED spot fixtures. All Musik’s Alf Kjellson figures the Viva LED spot will be a good fit with the company’s eclectic array of clients covering corporate shows, smaller music festivals and niche events. The new VIVAs, delivered by Robe’s Swedish distribute, Bellalite, join All Musik’s existing inventory of Robe fixtures. The company has previously invested in 12 DLX Spots from Robe’s DL Series and 20 LEDWash 600s, which are all constantly working.

LITITZ, PA – Atomic, which handles rentals, set construction, design and production services for the live event industry, opened a new rental office in Frankfurt, Germany.

LONDON – GLP plans to exhibit at the 2016 PLASA exhibition, which is set for London’s Olympia venue from Sept. 18-20. The company is highlighting its new GT-1 hybrid fixture at booth #E60.
