FRANKFURT, Germany – Clay Paky launched three new products for the first time internationally at ProLight+Sound 2016, the Scenius Profile, Hepikos and SharBar. The products were featured as part of the company’s demo/multimedia light show which accompanied the performances of some musicians and cover bands.

LONDON — With a loyal fan base in the UK eager to see their favorite wrestler vie for ring dominance, American professional wrestling organization TNA Wrestling traveled to England earlier in the year for a series of arena shows dubbed the Maximum Impact 8 Tour. This year’s lighting rig centered on Elation Platinum Beam 5R Extreme and Platinum Wash ZFX Pro moving heads.

VEJLE, Denmark — Vejle Musikteater, a performing arts venue that is home to a 1,134-seat Great Hall and the 300-seat Jacob Gade Hall, upgraded with new gear from Robe. The venue has invested in over 50 Robe fixtures, including MMX Spots and LEDWash 600 moving lights and PARfect 100s in the last three years, a move instigated by Technical Manager Tor Futtrup.

FRANKFURT, Germany – PRG’s impressive Highlight Show in the Festhalle at Prolight+Sound has become an annual tradition of sorts. For 2016, first show coincided with the LEA Awards on April 4, before the PL+S show floor opened. A laser display accompanied a performance by the group, Glasperlenspiel. In the days that followed (April 5-8), the highlight show appeared every half hour while the show floor was open. All laser systems on the PRG Stage were manufactured by the Laserworld Group

UNDERBERG, South Africa  – For the main stage at the Splashy Fen Festival in South Africa this year, LD Shaniel Laloo used STRIKE 4, Rogue R2 Wash and Legend 230SR Beam fixtures from Chauvet Professional. Laloo used the intense output of the STRIKE 4 LED multi formatted warm white fixture with the color rendering capabilities of the Rogue R2 Wash and Legend 230SR Beam, flying all of these fixtures on an overhead truss grid that covered the top of the main stage.

UK – UK rental company Storm Lighting, based in Woking, Surrey, has invested in 30 Robe BMFL Blades and 30 LEDBeam 1000s for their ongoing work which includes a diverse range of premium corporate events, leading theatre tours and some music shows. CAMBRIDGE,  UK —  For e-Luminate, a week-long lighting festival aimed at connecting art and technology through the medium of light, lighting designer Simon Cox used Iluminarc fixtures from Chauvet to set the facade of Guildhall, a historic building, aglow. Cox used Iluminarc Colorist Pod 7Qa and Colorist Panel 8Q RGBA LED fixtures to draw attention to the building during the event.

FRANKFURT, Germany – In a post-show recap, Robe detailed the theatre environment concept it brought to the 2016 Prolight+Sound expo. The Czech manufacturer invested in a space three times larger than at any of its previous booths at the show to present show-goers with a raft of new products.

FRANKFURT, Germany – Elation noted that close to 20 new products were featured at its booth at Prolight + Sound 2016.  New products included the ZCL Series, DTW Series, Fuze Series, Platinum Seven, Sniper Pro and Protron 3K Colors. Also on display was a new cyclorama wash luminaire, the TVL CYC RGBW, a floodlight for TV, film, theatre and broadcast applications.

CARDIFF, U.K. – Dance band Underworld recently completed a short U.K. and European tour to kick off the live campaign supporting their new album, Barbara Barbara We Face A Shining Future. Lighting was designed by Haydn Cruickshank (H) from Colour Sound Experiment, with the company also supplying all lighting equipment and the LED screen.

LONDON — In 2014, White Light was appointed as an approved cross-palace supplier for independent charity Historic Royal Palaces. The company has renewed its approval and will be providing support for events staged at Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace until 2016.
