Copenhagen-Based Rental Company, Comtech, Adds to Robe Fixtures in Inventory

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Danish rental company Comtech added Robe fixtures to its inventory for two consecutive years.  The initial purchase, and the company’s first in Robe, was for 40 Pointes in 2014. In 2015 they made a further investment with 50 BMFL Spots, which have been equally as well received, according to project manager Jes Christiansen. LONDON – Colour Sound Experiment is supplying lighting equipment and crew  to the current European tour by synthpop duo Hurts, riding high on the success of their third album ‘Surrender’ with a production design by Rob Sinclair. Colour Sound invested in 100 x new Martin VDO Sceptron 10 LED battens for the tour for which lighting is being directed and operated on the road by Matt Arthur.

MEXICO CITY – Mexico’s Banda el Recodo has been making its distinctively engaging brand of music since 1938. The band’s lighting rig, controlled by LD Arturo Guevara, includes fixtures that are considerably younger. Guevara lights the 17 musicians with more than 140 fixtures from Chauvet Professional, including 84 Rogue RH1 Hybrid and 16 Rogue R2 Wash moving fixtures, 40 Next NXT-1 moving LED panels, six Atmos high-output fog machines, and 16 Data Stream 4 optical splitters.

Stadium Opens in Lyon, France with Lighting Display Featuring 230+ Robe Fixtures

LYON, France – A total of 232 Robe moving lights – including 80 BMFL Blades, 70 LEDWash 1200s, 84  Pointes and eight LEDWash 300s – were part of a colorful opening ceremony for the new 415 million euro Grande Stade de Lyon in France. Lighting designer Tony Anzalone was working for Lyon based GL events Audiovisual, who coordinated and supplied the high profile event’s technical production.The grand opening show featured a high energy son et lumière with a cast of 1500 people culminated in a show-stopping performance by rapper will.i.am.
