Dyson Corporate Event Gets CPL Support

WILTSHIRE, U.K. – Central Presentations Ltd (CPL) delivered full production, including lighting, sound, video and rigging, for an end of year party for technology designer / manufacturer Dyson. The event took place on the grounds of Bowood House in Wiltshire, within a TriSpan structure measuring 45 by 45 meters. Production company Bright worked once again with CPL on the event.

Denmark Venue Adds to its Kinesys Investment

VEJLE, Denmark – The Musikteater in Vejle, Denmark is a 1,200-capacity venue that first invested in Kinesys LibraCELL load measuring shackles and Kinesys’ LibraBASIC system about six years ago. The venue has since expanded its Kinesys safety system investment with an 8-channel DigiHoist controller, K2 motion control software and LibraWIFI, which allows the DigiHoist device to broadcast load cell information via a wireless network.

Poland’s Mayday Festival Features 100+ Clay Paky Fixtures

KATOWICE, Poland – LD Michal Dobek created a memorable light show with more than 100 Clay Paky fixtures on the 16th edition of one of Poland’s biggest techno music events, the Mayday festival. Taking place across the three levels of Katowice’s Spodek Arena on Nov. 7, Dobek used 72 Clay Paky Sharpys and 32 Alpha Spot QWO 800 to shoot aerial effects over the audience at the event’s main stage. TSE supplied the festival lighting system and Dobek, Waldemar Osentowski and Marcin Kalużynski operated the main stage.

Hamburg’s Miniatur Wunderland Attraction Features Helene Fischer Concert Replica with Tiny Robe Fixtures

HAMBURG, Germany – Helene Fischer’s live show, lit with Robe fixtures, drew close to 110,000 to the Berlin Olympiastadion last summer. A miniature version of the show – at 1:87 scale – is now part of the Miniatur Wunderland attraction in Hamburg. Sven Hinzmann and the Miniatur Wunderland technical teams came up with miniaturized Robe gear including BMFL Spots, Pointes and LEDWash 600s for the tiny version of the stage show.

Quebradilla Bridge in Zacatecas, Mexico Glows with Light from Chauvet’s Architectural Lighting Division

ZACATECAS, Mexico – For a color wash on a section of elevated roadway that runs for close to 1000 feet, the Zacatecas State Government turned to Iluminacion Versatil S.A. de C.V., from Xalapa, Veracruz and lighting designer/project supervisor Luis Amaro. Amaro lit the roadway’s underside with fixtures from Chauvet’s ILUMINARC division.

Ambersphere Solutions Helps Introduce U.K. Technical Theatre Students to Ayrton Fixtures

NOTTINGHAM, U.K. – For a production of ‘Terrorism’ by Oleg and Vladimir Presnyakov, Lucy Greaves, technical course leader at New College Nottingham, UK, met the need for a lighting effect that could focus on an actor’s face by turning to  Glyn O’Donoghue at Ambersphere Solutions. O’Donoghue put Thor Andre’ from the Technical Sales team in charge of the project and he liaised directly with Technical Tutor, Andy Atkin. They worked toward a solution that included Ayrton MagicDot-R and Ayrton NandoBeam S3 fixtures.
