Painting with Light creates Show Design for Holiday on Ice ‘Believe’

DUSSELDORF, Germany – For Believe, a new Holiday on Ice show with a storyline based on William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Romeo and Juliet (but with a more cheerful ending), Belgian design practice Painting with Light created the set, lighting and video designs. Painting with Light’s Luc Peumans imagined the set and worked alongside his team including Paco Mispelters, who created the lighting, and Michael Al-Far, who designed the video.

New Malmo Live Event Venue in Sweden Installs ETC Gear

MALMO, Sweden – For the new-build Malmö Live venue, ETC’s Danish dealer Atendi (previously known as Bico Professionel) supplied a full ETC Sensor3 power-control system with triple-function dim/relay/constant current ThruPower modules. They also supplied 100 ETC Selador Desire D40 Studio Tungsten LED luminaires, to be installed in place of the halogen lights with dimmers that were originally specified.

Multi-Stage Venue in Poland Installs Vari-Lite, Selecon and Showline Fixtures

TORUN, Poland – The new Jordanki Culture and Congress Center (CKK Jordanki) houses an 880-seat concert hall and a 300-seat chamber hall. To light those spaces, Philips distributor PS TEATR supplied 144 Philips Vari-Lite moving heads, including the company’s new VL4000 Spots; 32 Philips Selecon PL3 luminaires; eight PLcyc2 luminaires; and three Philips Showline SL NITRO 510 strobes.

Sound Stylists’ Branch in Durban, South Africa Grows with Robe Gear
