LEEUWARDEN, The Netherlands – Neushoorn (Rhino), an entertainment venue in the heart of Leeuwarden, opened in October with LED light fixtures from Elation lighting several of its performance spaces. Elation partner Lightco, the lighting sales division of the Ampco Flashlight Group, worked on the project with Klaas Visser, Neushoorn’s head of audio, video and lighting.

CORNWALL, U.K. — The Cambridge University Gilbert & Sullivan Society opted to light the seaside Minack open-air theatre with SGM G-Spot LED fixtures for the first time earlier this year for a performance of The Sorcerer.

AMSTERDAM — The Royal Concertgebouw Concert Hall in Amsterdam has become the latest concert hall to update its lighting system to LED, with help from ETC and their Dutch dealer Ampco Flashlight Sales.

PAINSWICK, U.K. — Core Lighting’s battery powered LED ColourPoint uplighters and PinPoint pin-spots were the lighting fixtures of choice to illuminate two venues at the 2015 Art Couture Painswick (ACP) event.

LONDON – For Christmas at Kew, the annual holiday lighting event at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Culture Creative once again approached White Light to provide the lighting equipment. White Light provided an extensive range of lighting technology including SGM G-Spots and P-5 LED Washlights.

JOHANNESBURG – For #FillUpTheDome, an Oct. 31 concert featuring South Africa-based artist Cassper Nyovest, Gearhouse provided a Robe-centerd lighting rig that included 60 Pointes, 38 LEDWash 600s, 12 PATT 2013s, 11 CycFX 8s and eight CitySkape Xtremes.

VIENTANE, Laos – The country of Laos celebrated their 40th National Day with a massive celebration on Dec. 2 at the Laos National Stadium in Vientane, Laos. The lighting system, installed by the rental company ProPacific (Thailand) Co., included 200 Raptor moving heads, 40 XR1200 Wash, and 60 x XR3000 Spot fixtures from DTS.

MOSCOW – Clay Paky’s lights, including 150 of the company’s Mythos fixtures and more than 100 A.Leda fixtures, were used during the Circle of Light Festival, held in Moscow this year from Sept. 27-Oct. 4.

FRANKFURT, Germany – At the Frankfurt Motor Show (International Automobile-Ausstellung or IAA), some of the cars were lit with Clay Paky fixtures .

MADRID – Clay Paky and by its Spanish distributor Stonex hosted a seminar at the Matadero de Madrid featuring the concepts of lighting designers Al Gurdon and Peter Canning, who have lit shows including the Eurovision song contest, the halftime entertainment shows of the NFL’s Superbowl and the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Acoustic & Lighting System (A&L) held an open-house event on Nov. 17 to introduce Clay Paky’s The Projectors series: the Scenius, Mythos, Supersharpy and Stormy.

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands – Philips Entertainment organized a new partner conference at the end of November. Mroe than 70 international distributors, dealers and rental operators flew into Amsterdam for the two-day networking and engagement event.
