BUCHAREST, Romania – More than 100 PR Lighting fixtures were out in force Nov. 12, when Greek artist Nikos Vertis arrived in Romania for his sell-out concert at Sala Palatului Bucharest.

AMSTERDAM – For the 2015 Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), a two-day event featureing Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiesto, Alesso, Martin Garrix and other EDM artists, André Beekmans of The Art of Light used a variety of Robe fixtures including 101 BMFL Spots, 94 Pointes, 180 LEDBeam 100s and seven BMFL Blades. The AMF event at the Amsterdam Arena capped the five day annual Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) which featured with 350 individual sub-events across 80 venues and clubs in the city from Oct 14 to 18, 2015.

BEIJING, China – Olivier Award winning lighting designer Paule Constable is using Clay Paky Alpha Beam 700s to add drama to the Chinese production of the hugely successful stage play War Horse. Constable is lead lighting designer for the production, alongside associate Karen Spahn and programmer Blake Garner.

PRAGUE – The Czech Republic won its fourth Fed Cup women’s tennis title in five years in the 2015 final staged at Prague’s O2 Arena in front of a capacity 14,500 audience who enjoyed a nail-biting weekend of superlative tennis with their team playing a really strong Russian contingent  … and Robe was one of six very proud sponsors.

MUNICH – Astera named Keylight as dealer of its’s wireless event lights in The Netherlands. Keylight, a leading Dutch sales and rental company, has been specializing in providing professional wireless LED solutions to venues and events since 2012.

PARIS — Nathalie Jardin, 31, died Nov. 13, one of the victims of the terrorist attack at the Bataclan performance venue in Paris. Jardin, who had worked as a lighting and stage manager at the venue for the last three years, also served as LD for bands including Les Fatals Picards, Les Nuits Secrètes and Marcel and His Orchestra.

MILAN, Italy – For the fourth RadioItaliaLive concert, staged in Milan’s Piazza Duomo, Lighting Designer & Director Giancarlo Toscani relied upon Clay Paky fixtures supplied by New Light, Gianpaolo Bruzzese’s lighting service company associated with PRG Alliance. Among the fixtures in the rig were 40 Sharpys and 30 Mythos units.

MEXICO CITY – Las Lunas Del Auditorio – an awards program honoring Mexican live performance and music industry achievers – took place at the 10,000 capacity venue and founder of the event, Auditorio Nacional. For the first time, the event’s moving lights were exclusively Robe.

AUSTRIA – This year was the sixth Lake Festival, the biggest EDM event in Austria. More than one hundred artists performed on five different stages, including Avicii, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Alesso and Tiësto. Thirty six Clay Paky Sharpys, 34 Clay Paky Mythos units, 1 grandMA2 full-size e 1 grandMA2 light were used (along with other equipment) at the festival, which took place at Unterpremstätten on Schwarzl Lake.
