The Scorpions, Other Acts Perform on German TV Show, Lit with Ayrton Fixtures

MUNICH, Germany – For Verstehen sie Spass, a ‘hidden camera’ television series of two live and two recorded shows, the format included music performed by The Scorpions;  Germany’s 2015 Eurovision representative, Ann Sophie; and baritone crooner, Marc Marshall. LD Thomas Gerdon included Ayrton lighting fixtures to light the live broadcast from Munich’s Bavaria Studios no 9 in April.

Strictly Ballroom the Musical Tours Australia with GLP impression X4 Fixtures

SYDNEY – Since premiering with a flourish of sequins and feathers in Sydney back in April 2014, Strictly Ballroom the Musical has been touring Australia, currently residing at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne. The musical is produced by the original creative team behind the classic 1992 film, including director and co-writer, Baz Luhrmann and set and costume designer, Catherine Martin. UK’s National Theatre Using Advances in Show Control Automation with Eos Ti, OSC and Ableton Live

LONDON – The National Theatre’s production of Everyman is lit by Paul Anderson, with a set design by Ian MacNeil, video design by Tal Rosner and sound design by Paul Arditti. Dan Murfin, the lighting control supervisor at The National, is using features in the new v2.3 software and an Eos Ti desk along with Ableton Live to turn the parameters of the actor’s voice into OSC commands in real time.

The truss was first used by White Light on the recent UK Tour of the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, produced by BBC Worldwide and Vision Nine (pictured here).
