HSL Helps Illuminate Halifax Transmitting Tower

HALIFAX, U.K. – New levels of color and imagination graced the familiar landmark of the Halifax Transmitting Tower in a special one night light installation. Called  “Ploughcroft Eco Northern Lights,” it was designed by James Bawn. The display brightened the 150-foot-high relay mast located on the top of Southowram bank, which overlooks the Yorkshire, U.K. town of Halifax.

Batyr Nightclub Puts MAC Viper AirFX Fixtures to the Test

NABEREZHNYE CHELNY, Russia — Artem Sagaidak, resident LD at Batyr, a nightclub/karaoke bar, and also the winner of a lighting design contest staged by Martin Professional in 2013, used the company’s MAC Viper AirFX, transformed the look of the venue with two MAC Viper AirFX fixtures, a M2GO unit and fog and haze. The venue owners are now considering adding the gear to their visual tool kit.

Moscow’s “Big Love” Valentine’s Day Dance Event Lit with Clay Paky Gear

MOSCOW, Russia – For a Valentine’s Day 3.5-hour dance event that drew more than 17,000 Muscovites to the SC Olympisky, LD Konstantin Gerasimov of 4DProject used an array of Clay Paky fixtures supplied by Arlecchino Techno to deliver an electric party atmosphere. The rig including 92 A.leda B-EYE K20s, 71 Alpha Spot 1500s, 72 Sharpys and 36 Sharpy Washes. Pavel Shchelkanov created video content for the event. All the lighting and video was completely time coded, with the sound and show program by Nikolay Zinovenko.
