BERLIN, Germany — Demonstrating the efficacy of its radio solutions in applications beyond live large-scale sports and entertainment events, Riedel Communications provided communications infrastructure for International Green Week (IGW), Jan. 15-24 in Berlin. Working with systems integrator Gegenbauer, Riedel provided IGW event host Messe Berlin with a complement of mobile radios and headsets used for organization, security, logistics, program production, and traffic management. Riedel also set up a private business radio (PBR) at the event.

DALLAS – Philips Strand Lighting named Paul Nulty Lighting Design (PNLD) as the winner of its “upcycling” competition. PNLD won for their team effort, Anamorphosis, which turned a vintage Patt 23 theatre lantern into a deconstructed art piece.

BRISBANE, Australia — Riedel Australia partnered with the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) to provide the fiber and radio network used for the 2014 G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia. The crew deployed Riedel’s MediorNet real-time fiber infrastructure along with more than 200 Hytera DMR radios for the high-profile event. They also provided audio, video, and communications services throughout the two-day event.

CZECH REPUBLIC – Often hailed as the ‘Czech Pink Floyd’, progressive rock legends Stromboli have played a special one-off sold out show at Prague’s O2 Arena to celebrate their 30th anniversary, with lighting and set designer Radek Havlí?ek choosing to use an array of Clay Paky fixtures to complement his impressive volcano-themed set.

DURBAN, South Africa – The 2015 Metro FM Awards, staged at the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, was lit by an array of nearly 150 Robe moving lights, including the company’s new BMFL Spots.

LONDON – Louis Oliver of Okulus included an array of Clay Paky’s Mythos fixtures in his show design for Brit rockers You Me At Six, which recently completed their first U.K. arena tour, co-headlining with pop punk foursome All Time Low.
