LONDON – Two Tribes, a TV show hosted by Richard Osman, is using projection from XL Video. Sixty episodes of the Endemol UK/Remarkable TV show, are being filmed at the BBC Studios in Elstree for broadcast this year on BBC2.

PARIS – The Arch of Triumph (Arc de Triomphe) was even more of a focal point than usual during the celebrations welcoming 2015 as the clock ticked off the final seconds of 2014. LD Jeff Freeman used an arsenal of gear that included Clay Paky SuperSharpys to light the arch for the festivities as hundreds of thousands of revelers congregated in front of it or watched at home on television.

JAKARTA, Indonesia – PT. Prima Global Indomedia’s D’Six Studio upgraded recently with more than 40 SGM P-5 TW (tunable white wash lights) and 40 Q-7 W (white flood, blind and strobe) fixtures fitted with eight-way barn doors and accessory holders.

SOESTERBERG, The Netherlands – For The Netherlands’ National Military Museum (NMM), Amsterdam-based agency Rapenburg Plaza was in charge of the lighting design, AV and control systems. The agency opted for 42 Philips Selecon PLcyc1 fixtures, 12 PLprofile1 RGBW fixtures and 269 PLfresnel1 RGBW luminaires for key lighting in six of the museum’s themed halls.

UK – Lighting designer, Ben Inskip selected Jands’ flagship Vista L5 console to control his technically ambitious design for British metalcore band, Bring Me the Horizon, who recently played London’s iconic SSE Arena, Wembley.

UDDVELLA, Sweden – The Lights in Alingsås event in Sweden, Northern Europe’s largest lighting workshop in public spaces, attracts more than 85,000 visitors every year. W-DMX by Wireless Solution once again played an important role.

TOKYO – The world-famous Nippon Budokan arena in central Tokyo played host to the Fumiya Fujii 30th Best Special Countdown Live on New Year’s Eve 2014. The show was the spectacular culmination of a two-year tour by popular Japanese music artist Fumiya Fujii, in celebration of his ‘double anniversary’ which marked 30 years since the recording of his debut album and his 20th year as a solo artist.

PARIS – The World Heritage Centre, UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, was lit by Finnish lighting artist and designer Kari Kola who included 144 LED fixtures from SGM in the rig for the two nights of the Jan. 19-20, 2015 opening ceremony of the International Year of Light.
