LONDON – For musician, music producer and DJ Bonobo’s North Borders world tour, which wrapped up with a show that included an 18 piece orchestra at London’s Alexandra Palace, LD Will Thomas provided visual accompaniment for the mix of classical and electro beats with a lighting rig that included more than 100 Robe fixtures from GLS.

SINGAPORE — Harman noted recently that its Martin MAC Viper family is now widely available throughout Southeast Asia. Singapore-based CSP Production, Trio AV and Highlight Systems all offer the fixtures, and Malaysia-based Orange Events recently added more than 170 MAC Viper fixtures to their rental offerings.

AMSTERDAM – The Projection Studio, led by Ross Ashton, provided a visual assist for Panasonic’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) booth with a 3D projection mapping onto a Tesla car. Hartmut Kulessa, marketing manager of Projection Products for Panasonic Europe, arranged for Ashton and The Projection Studio to support the booth visuals.

LONDON – The lighting design for the final arena tour of Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds – The New Generation was created by Tim Routledge. The visual update for the latest stage adaptation of H.G. Wells’ 1898 classic sci-fi masterpiece included the use of Robe’s new BMFL Spot fixtures.

UDDEVALLA, Sweden – W-DMX by Wireless Solution was the go-to product of choice during the Teddybears recent festival tour. The Teddybears are a Swedish band formed in 1991, known for mixing pop, rock, hip-hop, electronica, reggae, punk and many other genres. Over the years their music has been featured in dozens of movies, TV shows, video games and most recently featured in Universal Orlando commercials.

WUPPERTAL, Germany — Bringing advanced radio communications technology to the catwalk, Riedel Communications partnered with facility management provider Gegenbauer to provide an elegant and reliable communications package for Panorama Berlin, a leading trade show during Berlin Fashion Week. For the three-day event, Jan. 19-21, the two companies supplied a custom solution with more than 100 mobile radios and 20 headsets supporting security, traffic management, and event organization and access.

LONDON – Metronomy completed a year of touring in support of their Love Letters album with a show at London’s Alexandra Palace. Ed Warren designed the lighting and set. The lighting setup included the floor package of Robe fixtures that the band had been using on tour, plus additional Robe fixtures for the big final show. In all, Warren’s rig included  14 Pointes, six LEDWash 300s, 39 LEDBeam 100s, 17 LEDWash 600s and 26 ROBIN 600E Spots, all supplied by Southampton based rental company GLS.

BERGAMO, Italy – Clay Paky hosted an event for its international distributors at its headquarters here. More than 130 representatives from 53 countries around the world met in Bergamo Feb. 3-4, 2015 for an update on the future strategies of the lighting fixture manufacturer, now part of the Osram group.

LONDON – For First Aid Kit, a folk rock duo from Sweden, LD Matt Waterfield used lighting supplied by west London based Colour Sound Experiment. The moving lights included 12 Robe MMX Spots, 22 Robe LEDWash 600s and 14 Robe Pointes, with eight Clay Paky A.Leda 20s LED washes on the floor fitted with B-Eye lenses. The set also featured 26 vertical LED battens from Chauvet Professional.
