MALTA – Lighting Director Nick Malbon and Creative Director John McCullagh relied heavily on Clay Paky lighting for the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, using more than 200 Clay Paky fixtures. “I really enjoyed working with the assortment of the Clay Paky fixtures. The A.leda is very, very bright but quite flexible, while the Sharpy and Super Sharpy deliver those amazing sharp beams. The whole package worked really well together in terms of colour and set nicely with the rest of the rig,” Malbon said.

Lyon Light Festival’s Jumbo-Sized “Light Bulbs” Glow with “Filaments” Make from RGBW LEDs

LYON, France — Airstar recently unveiled a temporary installation with giant inflatable LED lightbulbs of various shapes and sizes. The display greeted visitors to the Lyon Light Festival in France. Airstar installed nine giant old-style bulbs in an urban pond on the bank of the Rhône River, including a 10-meter-high “incandescent”-looking light bulb that lit up with 2,000 RGBW LED light sources inside.
