HELSINKI, Finland – Eero Helle and Mikko Linnavuori from visual design company Visual45 used an array of Clay Paky fixtures to add power and reliability to their bold design for a sold-out show featuring Finnish rapper Cheek at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki

WELLS, UK – The BBC Children in Need annual marathon TV spectacular is vigorously supported each year by local outside broadcasts spanning the breadth of the British Isles. This year, wanting to stand out with extra pizzazz, BBC Bristol appointed TV Lighting Director, Paul Middleton, to bring the ‘wow factor’ to the outside broadcast from the West Country’s Wookey Hole Circus School, near Wells.  The well-known LD did just that with help from a collection of intense fixtures from Chauvet Professional.

AUCKLAND, New Zealand – Ayrton’s MagicPanel 602 LED panels are part of the rig specified by LD Rob Sinclair for the 2014/15 Queen + Adam Lambert world tour. The fixtures play an integral role in ensuring that the giant “Q” centerpiece packs visual interest. Upstaging provided the gear, with an assist from Chameleon in Australia/New Zealand and Neg Earth in Europe.

LEICESTER, U.K. – For a production of Cinderella that coincided with the holidays at De Montfort Hall here, principle technician Jim O’Mahoney used Triple E gear to overcome some vexing rigging challenges within the 1,490-seat venue, starting with its lack of a fly tower. The solution involved the use of 92 meters of Unitrack.

SINGAPORE — In a prominent intersection on the outskirts of Singapore City in Paya Lebar lies the Trinity Christian Centre, Trinity@Paya Lebar. Designed to imitate the vast canyons of the Israeli deserts, the building’s beige-colored facade mimics the folds of the desert landscape. The lighting includes Harman’s Martin Professional gear.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – W-DMX by Wireless Solution Sweden AB is currently controlling a holiday lighting display at the Stockholm Concert Hall. The installation includes 32 SGM P5’s equipped with W-DMX OEM boards. The lighting is controlled from a grandMA PC Wing located inside the hall.

MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Vatel Producciones, founded and managed by Miriam Villalobos is celebrating its eighth birthday with a wide range of events utilising their eight Robe Pointes and two MiniMes in Mexico City.

Vatel’s owner, Miriam Villalobos – born in Córdoba, Veracruz, and grew up in Querétaro –  was curious to learn about the production industry, and back in 2000 took a job in public relations at local company A 1 Audio … during a show by Mexican band Molotov.

Led by InfoComm Live Events, Rental and Staging instructor Andre LeJeune, CTS (pictured here), the course will focus on empowering U.K.-based entertainment and event professionals with formal project qualifications recognized around the world.

HADERSLEV, Denmark – Elation Professional’s new SixPar Series of indoor and outdoor PAR color changers is providing dynamic color wash for skateboarders and other street sport enthusiasts at StreetDome, a new skate park. Elation partner Unico Gruppen provided Elation SixPar 300 Par color changers for the 1,500 sq. meter StreetDome Igloo.

GUANGZHOU – On Dec. 2, a group of 25 senior officials from Pakistan visited PR Lighting’s headquarters in Guangzhou, along with representatives of the Chinese National Commercial Dept. PR Lighting’s international sales team and Dave Liang, the president of PR Lighting, were on hand to welcome the visitors as part of their tour of the city.
