ULFT, The Netherlands – The new ‘ICER’ innovation center here features an educational hub equipped with Chroma-Q Inspire color-changing LED house lights. LED Upgrade For Red Pepper Studios in South Africa Includes Philips Selecon Gear

JOHANNESBURG – South African TV studio Red Pepper recently underwent an upgrade project that focused on the addition of LED fixtures for its studio facilities in Linden, Melville and Braamfontein. DWR Distribution provided 14 Philips Selecon Studio Panels, six Philips Selecon PLcyc1 luminaires and eight Philips Selecon SPX Zoomspot luminaires for the upgrade, which benefited from input from set designer Michael Gill and LDs Joshua Cutts and Francois van der Merwe.

BUENOS AIRES – According to its director, Valeria Ambrosio, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is “one of the most technically complex works in the theatrical history of Argentina.” In addition to a live orchestra and a wardrobe of over 300 costumes, the show also features and impressive lighting rig. LD Ariel del Mastro’s design uses 36 x XR3000 SPOT CMY and 16 x XR1200 WASH hung to 5 horizontal trusses, and set at the two sides of the stage.

SGM LP-700 LEDs Used for ‘Inside Out’ Installation in Sweden

MALMÖ, Sweden  – Based on a scene from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the ‘Inside Out’ installation by Bo Andersson and Johan Moritz uses 20 cabinets with three LP-700 strings in each. Mikael Uddh from SGM Sweden explained, “The LP-700s were pre-mounted on customised plastic frames to fit the original design of the cabinets. The frames were also prepared with DC power supply and an ArtNet node to translate the ArtNet DMX into three universes of DMX to the LP-700.”
