Battersea Gets Powered by Elton John & Robe

Battersea Power Station Development Company on behalf of its shareholders, SP Setia, Sime Darby and Employees Provident Fund hosted a concert by Sir Elton John to thank everyone who is helping to make the development of the iconic Power Station a reality. The event featured a lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, with Robe moving lights on the rig and equipment supplied by west London based Colour Sound Experiment.

Ron StageMaster Load Cells Used for Repositioning of Refurbished Isaac Theatre Royal Dome Ceiling

NEW ZEALAND – The end of March, 2014 marked a milestone for the iconic Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch, New Zealand, as “the grand old lady’s” iconic dome ceiling lifted back into its rightful place after an extensive refurbishment as a result of the February, 2011 earthquake. MILAN, Italy – The Salvatore Ferragamo Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week took place recently under no fewer than 314 SGM P-5 wash lights, each of which has 44 RGBW 10W LEDs, creating the perfect flicker-free colour output. “The show needed to have a vast homogeneous illumination”, comments LD G. Paolo Bruzzese. “The P-5 gave us that big bang of light with diffused reflection that we wanted.”

Bavarian Academy of Music Upgrades with Elation TVL White Light LED Fixtures

MARKTOBERDORF, Germany – The Richard Wengenmeier Hall at the Bavarian Academy of Music in Marktoberdorf, Germany, recently replaced its outdated tungsten lighting system with a new lighting rig of Elation Professional TVL Series white light LED luminaries. In addition to improved lighting, the new fixtures also save money though decreased energy usage from the fixtures themselves as well as reducing the need for air conditioning to cool the fixtures.

The Polish celebration coincided with the celebration of a mass in Italy by Pope Francis marking the canonization of late Popes John Paul II and John XXIII as Saints.

Renegade Lights “Atomic Bomb Tour” featuring David Byrne

LONDON – Nick Gray of Renegade, based here, created the lighting and visuals scheme for the “Atomic Bomb” tour by a new international super-group led by David Byrne to honor the work of obscure Nigerian funk musician William Onyeabor. Onyeabor’s distinctive rhythmic, funkadelic, spacey synthesiser-orientated grooves were composed in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a prolific composer / performer. Since then he has gained a cult following among musicians and music aficionados.
