NEW ZEALAND – The end of March, 2014 marked a milestone for the iconic Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch, New Zealand, as “the grand old lady’s” iconic dome ceiling lifted back into its rightful place after an extensive refurbishment as a result of the February, 2011 earthquake. MILAN, Italy – The Salvatore Ferragamo Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week took place recently under no fewer than 314 SGM P-5 wash lights, each of which has 44 RGBW 10W LEDs, creating the perfect flicker-free colour output. “The show needed to have a vast homogeneous illumination”, comments LD G. LONDON – Nick Gray of Renegade, based here, created the lighting and visuals scheme for the “Atomic Bomb” tour by a new international super-group led by David Byrne to honor the work of obscure Nigerian funk musician William Onyeabor. Onyeabor’s distinctive rhythmic, funkadelic, spacey synthesiser-orientated grooves were composed in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a prolific composer / performer.
