SEOUL —France-based lighting manufacturer Robert Juliat credits its long-term partner in South Korea, C&C Lightway, for helping its business thrive. LONDON — White Light provided the lighting rig for Barry Manilow’s 2014 UK Arena Tour. Manilow performed at arena and stadium venues throughout the UK including Manchester’s Phones 4U Arena and London’s O2 and Wembley Arenas.

JOHANNESBURG — Encouraged by positive reviews from Travis Yeatman, LD for Ultra Music Festival, Chris Gardner, LD for South Africa’s long-running Binneland TV soap opera and other shows produced by Stark Films, decided to give the Philips Strand Lighting 250ML console a try.

ULFT, The Netherlands – The new ‘ICER’ innovation center here features an educational hub equipped with Chroma-Q Inspire color-changing LED house lights. The fixtures’ hues range from soft pastels to bold saturated colors and clean white light, making the fixtures suitable for both entertainment and house lighting. Other features include theatrical-grade dimming and an energy-efficient LED design for reduced maintenance and operating costs.

BATTERSEA, UK – For an Elton John concert at the Battersea Power Station Development Company, Patrick Woodroffe provided a lighting design that incorporated 15 Robe Robin LEDWash 300s, six LEDWash 600s and 12 LEDWash 1200s along with eight Pointes and eight MMX Spots.

MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Mexican TV’s version of The Voice, called La Voz Mexico, is lit with a rig that includes 28 Chauvet Professional Nexus 4×4 luminaires. The fixtures each make use of 16 27-watt RGB COB LEDs capable of both a pixel mapping display and a robust light output.

VALLADOLID, Spain – LD Juanjo Beloqui used 30 Robe ROBIN Pointe and LEDBeam 100 fixtures to light the Cadena Dial Awards. The awards show was staged by Spanish Radio Station Cadena Dial and produced by Planet Events at the Auditorio Miguel Delibes here. The event was broadcast live on privately owned Spanish TV channel Divinity.

BUENOS AIRES – According to its director, Valeria Ambrosio, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is “one of the most technically complex works in the theatrical history of Argentina.” In addition to a live orchestra and a wardrobe of over 300 costumes, the show also features and impressive lighting rig. LD Ariel del Mastro’s design uses 36 x XR3000 SPOT CMY and 16 x XR1200 WASH hung to 5 horizontal trusses, and set at the two sides of the stage.
