BELGOROD, Russia — To bring to life its complex fireworks design element, design firm Heliocity Heliocity installed 16 of Harman’s Martin Professional Exterior 400 Image Projectors at the newly built Belgorod Airport. “After analyzing several fixtures, we decided on Martin Professional’s Exterior 400 IP due to its durability and convenient programming capabilities,” commented Anton Karpun, Project Designer, STK Heliocity. “To create the fireworks scene we ordered a special set of gobos for firework imitation. The gobos paired with the Exterior 400’s extremely robust light allowed us to successfully create a beautiful scenography of dynamic color that can be easily activated with a single button.”

BRUSSELS – Robe lights played a vital part of the lighting for The 2013 Music Industry Awards. The rig included 60 Robe ROBIN Pointe and 36 ROBIN LEDWash 800 moving lights for the all-action show that included nine live performances and presentation of the awards. “They gave me so many possibilities in terms of look, colour, etc.” says LD Luc Peumans.

HADERA, Israel – Baya’ar, a wedding venue situated in a wooded area in this Tel Aviv suburb, is making use of a new lighting rig that includes 84 Robe Pointes and eight LEDWash 600s for lavish events that can include up to 1,000 guests. Robe’s Israel-based distributor, Danor, provided the gear.

FRANKFURT, Germany – Leader Light noted its participation during the six-day Light+Building trade exhibition here, which overlapped with Prolight+Sound. “We decided to change the stand design and used a green color, which evokes eco and energy-saving lighting,” said managing director Julius Szaraz.

UK – Stage Electrics recently delivered the lighting, audio and video systems to Milton Court, Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s state-of-the-art facility. Stage Electrics supplied, installed and commissioned the lighting, audio and video infrastructure venue-wide which includes dimmer racks, data distribution, paging and show relay, plus custom-manufactured stage management desks, facility panels, lighting bars, ‘raceways’ and loose equipment.

OXFORD, U.K. – An evolution of their summer festival floor lighting package, the design for The Foals current world tour relied exclusively on lighting and lasers. The starting point for the design was the entwined cobra / Buddha backdrop created by Leif Podhaksky. HSL supplied the equipment to bring LD Davy Sherwin’s vision to life.

In cooperation with the Italian Lighting Designers Network, Clay Paky makes the Ventura Lambrate district shine during Milan Design Week with a series of temporary lighting installations. The NaturaLED lighting itinerary aims to guide visitors through a true lighting experience involving variations in light intensity and color.
