LONDON – Located near Wembley Stadium, the Hilton London Wembley hotel has partnered with Eclipse Presentations to supply all of the hotel’s lighting, sound and AV needs. Eclipse will be responsible for a Grand Ballroom which can accommodate events up to 600 people as well as 10 executive meeting rooms. The company has been the preferred technical services provider at Wembley Stadium for the last seven years, so having an operation at the hotel brings a real continuity to the operation.

MUNICH – BMW World features a dynamic lighting design using LED-based Exterior 430 luminaires from Martin Professional. Florian Felsch, general manager, Livebau Solutions, noted the the attraction is now using LEDs to show off the autos in their best light indoors as well, with LEDs calibrated at 5600K. He credited the fixtures for lowering maintenance costs by 90 percent, and allowing for a 1.5 year ROI.

GLASGOW — Scottish alt rockers Del Amitri reunited and hit the road for the first time in 12 years with lighting, sound and crew supplied by Liverpool based rental specialist Adlib. Lighting was designed by Adlib’s Ian Tomlinson. His brief was to create a cool theatrical style show with no manic strobing and visual craziness. The production carried their own rig and also made use of some of the house lighting rigs where appropriate.
