Robe Marks Largest Installation of Fixtures in Estonia

TARTU, Estonia – Robe’s Estonian distributor E&T Ltd has completed the largest supply to date of Robe moving lights for a theatre installation. More than 200 fixtures have been delivered to the Vanemuine Teater in Tartu, Estonia’s lively second city and the country’s cultural and intellectual hub. The deal – part of a much wider program in which Robe luminaires have been supplied to all eight of Estonia’s state-supported theatres as part of a major national lighting upgrade – involves a mix of LEDWash 1200, 600 and 300s, MMX Spots, DLX Spots and Robin 600 and 300E Spot and Washes.

Project Puts MGC Lighting Head and Shoulders Above the Rest

DORTMUND, Germany – Some 23,000 dance fans partied all night long to the sounds of more than 54 internationally renowned DJs at this year’s Mayday extravaganza in Dortmund, including top names such as Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox and Sven Väth. Production company schoko pro installed more than 360 tons of audio visual equipment for the party, designing a 4-fingered truss-claw and a monster mirrorball as the major centerpiece from the ceiling. A special trick was the ability to move and tilt the claw above the audience’s heads, to create changing lighting effects.

WEE WAA, Australia – The small Australian town of Wee Waa made the headlines last month by hosting the official global launch party for Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Daft Punk’s production house Daft Arts conceived and designed the space, described as a cross between Saturday Night Fever and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. The dance floor, which resembled an LP record, comprised of 110 Martin LC Panels and 16 Martin LC Plus Panels.
