Clay Paky at World Ski Championships

TRENTO, Italy – The opening ceremony of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships featured acrobats, dancers and climbers in a show broadcast worldwide by Italian state television. The lights were split into two groups. Marco Spagnoli was lighting director for white lights, while Mario Zanella took care of the effects and the respective lighting design, relying heavily on Clay Paky Sharpys.

Anolis Saves Energy for Melbourne’s Red Sticks Sculpture

MELBOURNE – There are 78 Anolis ArcSource 96s (two per stick) lighting the urban sculpture ‘Red Sticks’ – which glow, shimmer and are clearly visible for the enjoyment of all crossing the Melbourne Gateway. Each fixture is individually and independently controlled, with automatic triggers for seasonal changes and special occasions. The lights are on for 10 hours each night, year-round.

LONDON – For One Direction’s Take Me Home world tour, the production team of Production North, Lite Alternative and Wigwam were brought in. They were to transform the cityscape arena concept of creative designer, Elizabeth Honan, into reality. Production designer Paul Normandale used 30 of SGM’s new X-5 white LED strobes for the first time to replace conventional xenon-driven devices.
