LONDON – A ‘Rain of Poems’ fell from a helicopter as it hovered above Jubilee Gardens for 30 minutes, distributing 100,000 bookmark-shaped poems onto large crowds as they scrambled excitedly to catch and collect them all. Two Robert Juliat Lancelot 4000W HTI followspots, supplied by White Light, illuminated the spell-binding rainfall of words that fell on London’s Jubilee Gardens in June, launching the Southbank Centre’s Poetry Parnassus festival.

And now, with the installation of ETC Selador Desire LED lighting fixtures, a large section of Alpine Sensation tunnel has been turned into even more compelling tourist experience. Among the challenges of the installation were the low air pressure at high sea level, and the Alpine weather – and the ETC fixtures accommodated both.

STRATFORD, UK – HSL supplied lighting equipment, LED screens, trussing and rigging for the 2012 Global Gathering event, staged at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford. The event attracted up to 50,000 dance music fans over two days. Even the sun participated in the fun over the two days – one of the few UK festivals this summer not to be plagued by erratic weather.
