Derby University Extends Investment in Chroma-Q

DERBY, UK – The University of Derby has recently purchased a quantity of Chroma-Q Color Force 12 LED fixtures and Chroma-Q Universal color changers for students to learn on in the course of Sound, Light and Live Event Technology. Students enrolled in the course produce events in various venues around the region, so the department was keen to use LED technology for flexibility and energy issues.

LONDON – Clay Paky’s lighting fixtures are ‘Dancing on Ice’ at Britain’s biggest arenas this spring as the hit ITV show goes on tour. LD Durham Marenghi, who has designed this show since 2008, has specified Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE and Profile 1500s, Alpha Spot HPE 300s and Alpha Beam 700s to create a dynamic light show for each skater, while a single Sharpy lights the Winners Trophy throughout.

Anolis and The Droplet

CANBERRA, Australia – Anolis ArcPad 48 LED fixtures are internally lighting artist Stuart Green’s ‘Droplet’ sculpture, a 6 meter tall by 3 meter wide stainless steel work which has been installed on the corner of Furzer and Worgon Streets in the Phillip Woden district of Canberra, Australia. The fixtures are installed in the base of Droplet, programmed to run a color changing sequence that morphs from blue to pink to white over a five-minute period.

High End Systems lighting consoles commanded one of Helsinki’s most visible landmarks – the Olympic Stadium Tower – which was transformed into a light installation called the Variant Spectrum.
