MIDDLETON, WI – Russia’s Bolshoi Theater recently underwent a massive $1 billion renovation project which restored its historic looks but went state of the art when it came to its stage technology. ETC Eos consoles are now controlling the new lighting system, which also includes ETC fixtures, in the theater’s historic main hall.

DALLAS – LD Robb Jibson relied on a variety of VARI-LITE luminaires to create his organic layers of light for Incubus’ world tour. With limited space on the truss, and limited space on the trucks, Jibson looked at the feature set of VARI-LITE luminaires to meet his needs for fixtures that offered lots of flexibility.

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – The Rotterdamse Schouwburg’s stock of aging profiles were recently replaced with Robert Juliat zoom profiles with the purchase of 34 RJ 614SX 16°-35° fixtures from Netherlands distributor LightCo. Other theatres in Amsterdam and in Weert have also increased their inventory of Robert Juliat fixtures as well.

LEEK, The Netherlands – Audio Concept CA, distributor for the Prolyte Group in Venezuela and Colombia, has recently added the Prolyte i-line range to its package of products and services to answer the demand of customers and local partners. The Prolyte i-line range consists of trusses, StageDex decks and towers.

HIGH WYCOMBE, Buckinghamsire, UK – The current Bryan Adams tour is the first major one in the UK  to feature Robe lighting’s new ROBIN MMX Spots. LD Ewan McRobb specified 12 of the fixtures from tour lighting contractor Siyan. McRobb needed fixtures that could hold their own against the light output from a large Stealth screen, which creates the main look of the stage.

AARHUS, Denmark – Moscow celebrates its birthday with an International Military Music Festival, “Spasskaya Tower,” at Red Square. Martin lighting played its part in the event, which required two lighting designers to handle all the aspects of it for TV and an Internet audience.

LONDON – HSL supplied lighting equipment, LED video screens and crew to the recent UK leg of the Chase & Status “No More Idols” tour.  The band shares the same management team as Pendulum, another artist to whom HSL provides lighting.

Fixtures from PR Lighting lit up the annual Summer Sea Coast Music Festival. Production company GLS supplied the equipment, having purchasing eight Pilot 575s from PR Lighting’s Croatian distributors, Turbo-X d.o.o. The fest drew a crowd of 2,000 to hear local rock bands and watch the surrounding scenery come to life with the lighting.

AARHUS, Denmark – Christian youth festival, Get Focused, was one of the first events to use Martin’s new 10 mm pixel pitch EC-10 LED video panels. Vestad Lighting supplied equipment for the three-day event in Tonsberg, Norway.

Robe moving lights took centerstage for the most recent series of “Let’s Dance” in Slovakia on Markiza TV. Director of Photography Vlado Valko used rental company Q-99’s new Robe ROBIN 300 fixtures for the weekly show set at the Incheba Expo in Bratislava.

LONDON, UK – The Leader Light Stage 6-06 LED fixture, supplied by White Light Ltd., recently made appearances lighting Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on The Jonathan Ross Show, and on Bowling for Soup’s UK tour.
