CASTELNUOVO DEL GARDA, Italy — LD Jerry Roberto Romani and the technical staff of Gardaland chose Coemar Infinity ACL M moving light fixtures for the recently-redesigned Art Deco theatre at the Gardaland amusement park located near Lake Garda.

MANCHESTER, UK — Russian-born violinist Alina Ibragimova performed at the Manchester International Festival (MIF) in collaboration with The Brothers Quay, a filmmaking/animation firm. The event was staged in and around the library of the Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and was supported with lighting by DBN.

LONDON — HSL, working with Production North, provided the lighting design and equipment for the recent U.K. tour for Olly Murs, the runner up of X-Factor 2009, who was backed by a nine-piece band including full brass section. Phil Wiffin created the lighting design for HSL. Dave Lee operated and looked after everything on the road, working alongside tech Johnny Harper.

LONDON — LarMac LIVE (LML) managed production and coordinated the technical aspects of the 2011 UK Sonisphere Festival, where heavy-metal bands on four main stages entertained 60,000 over the course of three days.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden — When Gothenburg City Theatre in Sweden received funding from the regional government to spend on energy-saving measures, the first thing the technicians thought of replacing was their energy-hungry cyclorama lighting.

LONDON — LD Dan Sanders used LED gear from Chauvet that had been specified by JPS Sound & Light for Troxy, a multifunctional venue for live concerts, corporate events, weddings, indoor sports and more. Capitalizing on dramatic uplighting opportunities presented by the venue’s Art Deco-styled interior, Sanders used nearly 150 Chauvet fixtures.

LONDON — Simian Mobile Disco, comprised of DJ duo Jas Shaw and James Ford, are touring Europe and the U.K., performing at numerous festivals with visual support from LD David Cohen (SauceDesign), who has created bright honeycomb effects with 11 rows of four and five hexagons made from 181 Barco 340mm MiStrip LED lights.

COLOGNE, Germany — Let’s Dance, which follows the same format as the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, but appears on Germany’s RTL network, has been relying upon three Pandoras Box Server PRO units for its blend of modern and classic design elements.
