The Lyttelton Theatre’s Old Lifts Get New Control System

LONDON – The Lyttelton Theatre, one of three theatres at the Royal National Theatre, was equipped with hydraulic lifts about 30 years ago. But when The White Guard was staged earlier this year, the National's systems engineering team found themselves in a quandary. The show required that they synchronize all three lifts, and they quickly found that the existing system simply didn't have the required functionality.

2010 Knights Of Illumination Award Nominees Announced

LONDON – The Association of Lighting Designers (ALD), Society of Television Lighting and Design (STLD) and awards program sponsor Clay Paky recently announced the nominations for the third annual Knights of Illumination awards program. Geared toward U.K.-based lighting designers, the awards will be held Sept. 12 at the IBIS Hotel London Earls Court.
